i'm not too terribly worried about her loosing her bending
yes it's terrible and aweful and it sucks and i about cried after i went to bed that night ... butyou know Korra's going to find a way to fight this ... Aang's in her past lives and i highly doubt he'd go so far as to learn how to take people's bending away without trying to learn how to give it back ... He's too loving and forgiving of a person to not at least try and keep that option open ... And even if he didn't korra will now have a personal intrest in finding out a way to give back bending ... and that's assuming all the dozens (possibly hundreds) of innocent benders weren't incentive enough for her to want to learn
Personally i'm of the belief that someone is capable of rediscovering their bending through patience, meditation, time, and effort much in the way aang opened up all of his Chakras with the Guru
