when I picture korra and bolin, i can never picture a romantic relationship. the only thing that comes to my mind is that profound, beautiful friendship, like Aang and Sokka had. That, in my opinion, is more special than all the shippings going on right now.Buttt if he grows on her and they become more than just friends that's TOTALLY cool with me too.

This is so beautiful! Both the artwork and the scene with these characters. Bolin was Korra's first real friend, the first person who associated with her not because she's the Avatar.

When I saw them in the second episode, I immediately liked Bolin more than Mako.

They will have a close relationship. But not a romantic one.
It's obvious Mako will be set into the romance, but I think
Bolin is a more unique one. Both of them are a nice mixture
of Sokka.

Bolin can represent Sokka's disposition of dialogue, action and ego.
Korra, on the other hand, can represent Sokka's disposition of action, while represented Toph's pride, stubbornness, pride and dialogue, Katara's culture and Aang's ingenuity and ability.
So for those who complain of the transition of TLA to LOK, the spirit of TLA is most definitely there. And here's an inference, that old guy who does fire in the intro to Legend of Korra, might be Suko.

Edit* I repeated pride twice on Toph's comparison and misspelled Zuko.
Zuko will appear in Episode 10, but like I said before, in the intro, Korra is the water bender, Tenzin the Air Bender, I don't know the Earth Bender, and Zuko might be the Fire Bender.
