I enjoy the way you tried to break the image, but rather than destroy the grid you decided to pattern one grid atop another with a void space. Very nice.

Thanks. Yeah, this was basically an experiment in illustrating how the picture plane can be manipulated to convince the viewer of the opposite of what is true - despite the white paint being laid on after the the colored, on top of the rest of the composition, it actually foregrounds what is technically underneath it.
