ok..this is still far from done...its actually just a sample from an upcoming wallpaper i'm working on...since i'm not going to be able to use the whole thing...i thought i'd share it before i started taking it apart...anyway... for those of you that do not recognize her..that is epitomei [link] go check out her photgraphs if you haven't yet. i am working on this one in b&w style to compliment her style

I defenitely love how those tentacle type things come together to form her face. Overall, excellent design. The face is executed really well, and the color balance works out very pleasingly. Good stuff.

looks awesome! Love the overall "smoothness" of the image, the way one part blends into the awesome, very easy on the eyes. Awesome work!

the smudge job is poorly done
and the way you blended the 3d and the face is not seemless as it should be
it looks like u just overlapped her face on it... I would like this much more if the face looked like it belonged there... I'm sure with more work this would own tremendously... I only say this cause I know you can do it better... congrats on DD though.. Keep it up.

i'm a little dissapointed to here this isn;t complete and that it's on it's way to be a wallpaper.
i was so psyched when i saw the long format because it has a decision inherent in it. it really is a great piece. maybe the dd will encourage you to leave it alone. it has a great peace about it. the low speculars in the 3d give it a really soft feeling. the face has this childlike cherub quality that remind me of some illustration from my childhood. (no not the sunchild from teletubbies). the fading in the center works well against the foreground.
quick question: how did you do the text? did you distort as an aftereffect or actually texture map it?

ooh well, i'm leabing one anyways... i dont think there is much i can say that hasnt already been said, but this is simply beautiful. at first glance it seems so simple...but there are things you have to find. i love the feel of this, epitomei should be very flattered

cool work, i love the 3d elements! One thing i think you should look at is giving her face a border rather then just having it sit on a big white blob. Its cool as it is but i would like to see it more as though the structureas are part of her and she is not just a super-imposed face. I like the softness of the light, i dont think it needs any more contrast. Some nice lil trend fx but not overdone, i like it. It will be most interesting to see the finished product!
