Having just had a look at your website, I do know what I am looking at, not sure if I spoiled the abstract effect or not by doing that, but I can now appreciate the angle and what you were trying to get from this. You did very well. The tones are very good. Well done on this.

Thats a very nice image... I like how its ambiguous what thing it really is, a train, a bus, a very old car, hell maybe even a big stove or boat or whatever... The contrast is good, its a bit light though in the bottom left corner, I dunno, I'd like to see it a bit more contrastey... but im a sucker for that sort of thing, so maybe you shouldnt.

One thing tho is that, I dunno, could be just me, but it looks as if I'm seeing some aliassing, or some hard edges for instance in the top left bit or at the dark part of the door handle... it looks like it was nearest-neighbor scaled down or if it was a render, not antialiassed enough, it disturbs me a bit... im allergic to it cos I always get it in my renders.

eeehhhhxeclent.

This is not new; notice the wiring/relay sticking out in the upper left. Nowadays everything is clean and tidy and tucked away.

However it looks like the handle is padded, and that means that it is not entirely old, either. When things were really old, they didn't care as much about safety. If you banged your noggin, then you were a dumbass for not watching where you were going.

I think that this is a forgotten prototype from the early-mid 50's of a "personal mini-train" that was styled to be a throwback to the 20s and 30s. See, Lee Iococca's (or however you spell that) grandfather had a vision where everyone could use the extensive rail system that stretches across this great land. I mean, think of it! You wouldn't have to change lanes, you could drink coffee AND smoke a cigar while 'driving'...

sweet shot, mate. did you do a lot of post on this or is it pretty 'raw'?

Man, this is some incredible abstract composition. I'm not sure exactly what it is but that seems to give it even more appeal. Best black and white I've seen in some time.

indeed, this is an excellent shot, I love the flowing lines and curves of the machine. Generally you don't get that much of a feeling from machinery, but the curves really make this look beautiful.
