Finally part two to my cursed talents AU!!! Again the thing keeping me from this was writing the description this took two whole sessions of writing, but lets finally finish this!!

The Rainboom:
Who knows what let little Dash preform the sonic rainboom in the first place, maybe it was pure talent, maybe some surge of magic that also rippled through the rest of the 6, or maybe it was some mysterious third force that called upon a set of new heroes. No matter the cause, things don't go as well in this universe. The rainboom goes horribly wrong, causing a magical burst and shockwave that was too strong, and it's effects were felt by the entire mane 6. Some of their lives were exactly the same up until the rainboom, and some of them have changed a lot more.

Twilight Nova - Empathy - Magic Study/Librarian

Ever since she saw the Summer Sun Celebration, Twilight had a passion for learning and studying magic. Her parents enrolled her in Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, and it was a dream come true! Until the entrance exam. A cart was wheeled in, with a diagram on the front depicting a dragon hatching from an egg. Despite her constant study, she had no idea how to do anything like hatching an egg. A dragon egg of all things! Even so, she could hardly even get a spark out of her horn, probably from her nerves. Then, suddenly, a rainbow flash appeared out the window as a boom shook the classroom. Twilight's eyes glowed she flew up into a ball of her own magic, with bolts of unstable magic just barely missing her parents and the teachers judging her. The surge was too much for her small body to handle. With an explosion and flash of blinding purple light, it was all over.

Upon regaining consciousness, Twilight found the classroom in shambles. The windows were shattered, and random parts of the walls and other objects were either missing, or turned into something else entirely. The dragon egg itself had also been demolished. Her parents stood before her, in tears, but most surprising of all was that Celestia herself was also there. But.. she also looked sad. Twilight could only say a few words, trying to apologize, before grabbing her head in pain. Her head and horn hurt like crazy... Where was her horn?

Celestia watched the classrooms magically-effected parts mysteriously change themselves back to normal, while the fillies own colors also strangely seemed to shift and trade places. And amongst all that, was her cutie mark. Celestia had immediately determined that there was no saving the poor fillys horn, but she still sensed something strong in the little one. Once Twilight had recovered, Celestia paid the filly a visit herself, taking her in as her personal student.

Rose Quartz "Rosie" Pie - Laughter - Funeral Planner

Life on the rock farm was never fun for the pies. There was no laughing, no smiling, and now, hardly any talking. The sisters spent their days working, looked over by only their granny pie, to try and keep the farm afloat.

Things were really tough for the family, but nopony had the strength to really address it. That was just how things were. Until one day, a large rainbow explosion shrouds the farm in light and colors Rosie had never seen before. It was beautiful, and while all her sorrows didn't go away, Rosie smiled. She was happy and she felt it was a sign that better days were on the horizon. She now only wished that the rest of her family was there to see it. She wanted them to feel joy like she did, so she hatched a plan.

She spent the rest of the day and night in the silo, and once she was done, invited her family in. Inside was a whole ceremony. There were decorations, and food, and drinks, but most of all, in the center was a bouquet of the best flowers and gems Rosie could find, alongside a picture of their parents. "I just thought that maybe, we could finally talk about everything, and maybe, be happy too." Rosie smiled as her family's eyes darted around the room, their mouths agape, as Rosie's smile wavered. And then, with tears in her eyes, granny pie smiled and hugged Rosie. The rest of the day was filled with all different kinds of emotions, sorrow, grief, but also happiness and joy. Rosie saw them all, and was glad to have created something that let her family so much. And that's how Equestria was made!

Rosie now works as a funeral planner, and while her favorite thing is to make ponies smile, she understands that sadness is just as important, and she'll be there to help you feel whatever you want to feel. She also still enjoys baking and often works with Serenity.

Butterfly Stitch - Kindness - EMT/Nurse

Butterfly's parents always thought that she would go into sewing, or knitting, or that kind of thing. She was meek, and frail as a child, and still had a very difficult time flying. Her parents enrolled her in a summer flight camp, where things only went from bad to worse. Sticking up to Butterfly's bullies, Rainbow challenged them to a race, with Butterfly being the one to hold the starting flag. She waved the flag, and the next thing she knew, she was falling. Butterfly tried as hard as she could, but couldn't stop herself from hitting the hard ground. She cried, but there was nopony to help her.

Snapping her out of her pain, a large boom, followed by a rainbow filled the sky. It was a sonic rainboom of legend, probably performed by Rainbow Dash. But something was wrong. She didn't see anypony flying away from the boom, and on top of that, it sounded like somepony crashed like she did. Swallowing her own pain, Butterfly hobbled to the site of the rainboom, only to find Rainbow crashed on the ground, and gravely injured. Butterfly, feeling terrible for causing all of this, does the best she can to patch Rainbow up, trying to be as gentle as possible. Once she did all she felt she could do, Butterfly pointed the paramedics to Dash's location. While taking both fillies to the hospital, they praise Butterfly for doing such a great job caring for her friend before they got there, and that Rainbow is going to make it, partially because of her. Butterfly Stitch is happy, so happy she could help, making a difference in sompony's life, and earns her cutie mark.

While definitely shocking, and hard to get used to, Butterfly now works as an EMT, or a nurse, when not on call. She still takes in animals in her cottage, though it's more on a need-be injury basis as a part-time vet more than a caretaker. She believes that you can get through anything with a little kindness and care, and hopes to make a difference in ponies lives despite her more meek nature. Some ponies have to do a double take on her cutie mark, mistaking it for being an actual cut.

A little bit of clarification, when I mention a rainbow followed the sonic ranboom, I mean the rainboom itself, not the rainbow Dash makes when flying back up into the air. But here's the mane 6 finally!! You could probably tell, but Spike unfortunately doesn't exist in this AU, and Twilight relies on Owlowiscious to deliver letters. Twilight's colors changed during her magical outburst, and Pinkie's design is an in-between of her sad, flat mane design and regular Pinkie.

Edit: I decided I really wanted to give Twilight some blue in her mane, which comes directly from her concept art!
