Description The Tepatic writing system includes a small class of glyph “operators” - strokes which do not occur on their own, but are used to modify the basic glyphs. The most important of these is the “pointer” operator, which is shaped like a caret / hacek. It can be rotated in any direction and attached to any part of a glyph. It turns the glyph into a new glyph which represents the part of the old glyph that it “points” to. For example, attaching it to the bottom of the glyph for TREE makes the glyph for ROOT. Some Chinese characters are formed similarly, for example, 木 TREE and 本 ROOT, and 刀 KNIFE and 刃 BLADE. However, Tepat uses this device far more systematically.

That looks really interesting a script Just a question, if yong is water and a pointer on top means "wave" or basically "that which is ontop of water" if I understand their purpose right, how would you symbolize "water's surface"?

Thanks. I don't have a glyph or word for "surface of the water." I would probably just use a phrase, ngom i yong "surface of the water," instead of making a single word for it. In that case, I don't need another glyph.
