i'm not great at titles.this was originally just going to be a really casual drawing but i randomly decided to go balls to the walls with it.
boarding school AU because i wanted to draw them in little uniforms. might have a fic to go along with this someday idk.

well i like lapidot because it presents lapis with the opportunity to form a healthy relationship after her bad experience with malachite. also peridot is a dweeb and i love the idea of her having crush on someone and responding to it in her own dorky, melodramatic way.
sadly, it's true that it doesn't have a whole lot of canon support. there was that leaked scene of peridot giving lapis a present, and that's about it.

Well if you think about it in the show Peridot lacks pretty much any positive emotions and she needs to learn empathy. That is not a good starting point for as relationship; plus she was Lapis' jailer so there's a lack of trust there and the fact that getting imprisoned is Lapis' trigger so...
Yeah the cannon is a cruel place for ships sometimes. That's why we have the internet, because there are hundreds of parallel universes where characters can fall in love and have babies together.
