you're honestly one of my art senpais. the way you shade and draw skin is just... so good. plus you're like super popular and i'm just like... thrilled to barely get more than a hundred notes on my art. i'm not worthy lol

this is probably asking too much, but if you're ever interested in an art trade i would love to do one with you. even if it's just like... sketches or something.

I am really not that popular and not that great! (My art hardly breaks 100-200 notes range on tumblr these days, the fandom's just... dead). I'm very glad to hear you like my art ^^
And sure! We can do a trade if you want to What would you like? You can get specific with the promt if you want to, the more specific the better. I can't promise I'll do it like super-quick cause I have other artworks going on at the moment but I'll try to squeeze it in!

as far as the prompt goes, can i ask what you're not okay with drawing? (certain ships, crossovers, blood, etc) y'know, so i have an idea of what to ask for. more importantly, what would you be interested in having me draw for you? i'm good with pretty much anything but machinery, detailed buildings, or pure lemon.

No, I am quite willing to do it now I'm just saying it probably won't be done in like a day's time so you would know what to expect and wouldn't rush yourself.
Are we doing Homestuck-centric art-trade? Or do you want like OC-trade? Or Steven Universe one? (We can always do a few )
I am willing to draw pretty much anything! Of course I have some nOtps here and there, but I doubt you would ask for any of those considering ships I've seen on your drawings so feel free to tell me whatever you'd like

If we're going for Homestuck-centric trade I'd ask for Caliborn and Damara if that's ok O: It can be their usual teen versions, or humanstuck (alinajames.deviantart.com/art/… ), or even adult Lord English and Handmaid, really any of those variations work. When it comes to the theme I'm ok with something shippy or even just non-shippy team rocket-like shenanigans. Whatever you feel like really! I love both characters a lot and there's not that much fanart of them out there, let alone when it's them 2 together.

oh, i like that. i think i have an idea for caliborn and damara you'll appreciate. how do you feel about a mob/gangster AU?

the reason why i ask about fandoms is because I really love gemstuck- characters from  homestuck as gems. . i think that dirk and roxy or dirk and jake as gems would be really rad. it can be a sketch or colored or whatever you want/have time for.

excuse the nerd tangent, but i have some good suggestions for gemstones if you need inspiration. rhodonite and rhodochrosite both work well for roxy, because it's pink and all spotty-looking. i especially like when people make jake aventurine, because it's green, sounds like the word "adventure" and its symbolism is associated with protecting the heart. citrine and orange zircon are cool for dirk because orange citrine and zircon are manufactured, not found in nature.

sorry about that info dump, haha. basically though, the designs and gemstone choices are entirely up to you. the only requested part is basically the concept .o.

So I guess I can either draw my own designs again or do yours if you have any? And you actually got the same Roxy gem I used for her in your description I used emerald and amber for Jake and Dirk since that's what their colors are referred to in-comic, so it's hard to shake that off.

oh my gosh, I saw that art before but didn't realize it was yours! what i meant originally was gemstucks in your normal, more realistic art style instead of steven universe style.

the reason why i asked for roxy and dirk /or/ dirk and jake was because i thought that it would be more fair to only ask you to draw two characters, since you're having me draw only two. i didn't mean to come off as a jane-hater. gem janes are cute, too. i headcanon her gem as chrysocolla, red and blue pietersite, or blue apatite. i've even seen jane done as a star sapphire, which is also cute.

what matters to me is what you prefer. would you like to use your own designs or have me send you some of mine (i have some, they just aren't posted).

I guess I can draw all four kids? I like them and I'd feel bad leaving Jane out I just won't make it like super-fancy quality-wise so it would even the time out a little. 
But if you'd feel easier that way I can also draw just any two of them! Doesn't matter which pair. Just tell me.
And ok, gotcha about the style! It's good that you've mentioned that cause otherwise I'd aim for SU-style as much as I could. I can draw either your designs or mine, I don't mind either way! Whichever you prefer. I'd like to see your designs anyway So please send a link!

probably getting a little ahead of myself here, but i already have a sketch hammered out for your request. got a little carried away and threw meenah in there. how far did you want me to go with the drawing? should i leave it as a sketch or move on to lineart and color?

Haha, it's not fair, you went to sketch yours before I even had a chance to start since you haven't sent me the designs XD
I'm doing mine in colour and with more-or-less clean lines so I guess you can do that too if you wanna?
And yes, please send me Jake and Jane's designs too and I'll get to work ^^
