Not much happens, but I did decide to do a little more on J.R.'s character. He's already fun to write about. I always wondered why, unlike other rivals, he doesn't come all the way with you to see your starter. So, here's my reason (might do an extra on that...)

Also, first proper attempt at far off backgrounds. I doubt this is what can be seen when you look at the observatory bit in Aspertia, but I was doing this from memory. It's...a bit bland isn't it. Additionally, the grey bits in the last three panels of 1.5 are supposed to be stairs. Yeah...I have a long way to go with my drawing skills.

Anyway, next Tolkie meets Bianca. This will be fun .
