That face on the back cover feels so familiar, but I cannot put my finger on it...

It's the face of a Woodster, or more like the simplified pumpkin face they had before they were redesigned(?). Even if the Woodsters have been redesigned, I'll still be using the more simplified design because it's easier for me to draw.
Who knows. The back cover may possibly suggest it's some sort of horror story, but the book might as well be about just anything. I'll be leaving it open to others to imagine over.

Not sure if there was a redesign. I haven't drawn them much at all in later years, so I've kinda lost thought.
But, if there is or has been a redesign (have to look through my sketchbook and try to remember thought-processes), I would still most likely just play around drawing them in different ways.
The simplified design is still the "basic version" I recall the most, sometimes even favorizes in some cases.
Heck, I even tried testing something with them once again in my first ever Inktober.
