As the USS Canada beamed up survivors from the prison station, Captain Kilgour couldn't help but wonder how he'd gotten his ship involved in the latest Klingon civil conflict.

His partnership with J'Ula was uneasy at best. The two had nearly killed each other a few times and deep down he knew he'd never forgive her for hurting his friend and first officer Commander Nyryh Thryiss. However, Martok believed her to be the best hope to rally the houses and to that end Kilgour just had to hope he'd done the right thing.

He hoped this conflict ended soon.
