This is an incredibly awesome concept.
The color choices are simply wonderful and I love how vivid the colors are. The biggest criticism I can make is one of balance. The number of objects is high in the middle of the piece. Normally you would want to maintain a similar volume of objects throughout the piece to have a good balance.
I say "Normally" but this piece does not quite fit the criteria. The shadows themselves act as objects here, and that keeps the eye moving around the piece, solving the issue of balance quite nicely. Not to mention the fact that each half of the piece is dominated by warm and then cool colors, further enhancing the balancing effect.
Overall, very nice piece.

Thank you very much for your critics , I do appreciate it . You are right about the number of objects in the middle . I started painting only the shadows on the bottles and on the walls ,not the bottles ,still something fairly realistic but since I love abstract art I drifted away into the abstract as well .

It's a very fun piece to look at. (in retrospect) I may need to add it to my favorites.
Was this intended to be a technical piece? A study in shadows? Or was it simply because you saw the potential for an interesting painting in the concept?

It was a mixture , if you don't have a certain concept you go ahead too undisciplined with yor own style , mine for example goes abstract right away and then in the end you always do the same Studying the shadows wasn't my favorite part but later, getting into the free part where you just imagined the still life the way you liked it.

Very cool! I'm just beginning to do paintings (most of the ones I have done were assignments from College) and I'm interested to start experimenting with new styles and techniques. This piece has done a bit to inspire me towards abstraction and I think I will attempt something similar in the future.
Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

J'aime bien l'équilibre de cette peinture entre l'ombre et la lumière et ces formes fantomatiques... Tout ça fait une très belle image
