My little girl is absolutely NUTS about 'Inside Out' at the moment, loves it to bits. My personal favourite character was Fear but one of my first thoughts was 'Hmmm, he looks a bit like Mr Burns'. And that was the genesis of this pic.I thought it'd be funny to draw the main emotions as Simpsons characters who were virtually their opposites:
Sadness - Ralph Wiggum. Ralph is pretty much always happy.
Fear - Mr Burns. Everyone fears Mr Burns, not the other way round.
Anger - Hans Moleman. I've seen Hans Moleman terrified, slighted, cheerful, nonplussed but I don't think I've ever seen him cross. Cowabunga, dudes.
Disgust - Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel. I was actually gonna go with Edna Krabappel for Disgust because I thought there should be at least one female Simpsons character and I thought Edna vaguely resembled Disgust in any case. But I couldn't resist going for Cletus instead, partly because Cletus is rarely disgusted by anything (and is pretty disgustING) and also because I thought the idea of Cletus in drag was funny.

Yeah, the Joy/Marge connection didn't even occur to me until I'd virtually finished. I wanted to keep at least one of the characters 100% Inside Out though, and it made best sense to do it with Joy.
I may well do some more Inside Out fanart soon. My little girl's still CRAZY about it and I think it's such a sweet little movie.

My kids haven't shown much interest in it which is why I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure I'll get to watch it soon enough (I seem to watch a lot of kids movies these days).

Same here ... the only new movies I see now tend to be kids' movies. You can't deny the quality of the big budget releases although I thought 'Home' was rubbish. Pixar/Disney are pretty reliable and I liked the Minions film too. From what I've seen, Hollywood isn't throwing out anything spectacular - I'm one of those boring people who drone on about TV being much better than the movies nowadays. I do want to see that new Mad Max film though...

I still haven't got round to watching Mad Max yet either. I've not seen Minions or Home either, although I'm not as bothered about seeing them as Max. Luckily my boys like to watch stuff like the Marvel movies, Transformers and they even liked the new Terminator, so I do get to watch some stuff that we can all enjoy. I just seem to miss out a lot of the gangster type movies that used watch.
