Art trade with Cold-finger. He wanted me to draw a two-man Machine gun crew. So I did, and on the way decided to expand upon The Republics of Rem from my Sci-fi universe.

The Republics of Rem Are famous for their .60,000 bullet for minute .60 machine guns. usually manned by wto people, those guns are mainly used in outpost in HIP (High Insurgence probability) regions. In case of riots, the local outpost mounts one of those near the insurgence area, and shoots everything in field of view. With slight adjustment, the .60 Machine gun can be used to knock slow flying crafts from the sky. The gun is also found on the heavy All-terrain Police Utility vehicle known as the "Rhino Inforcment vehicle" which is used to fight Insurgencies which have gone too far.

In the field of battle, a more light-weight version used, usually manned by two people, who can deploy the gun in mere seconds, and are trained to do so even under heavy fire. Usually covered by an advancing armor divisions, the crew can deploy the machine gun to deal with anything that the tank has problems with, including infantry and aircraft. They can also cheaply protect an outpost against Infantry, and are cheap to mass compared to the heavy "leadstrom" double barreled turret.

The Machine gun and the people who man it are easy to replace, meaning the gun can be massed very easily, making the gun a common sight on the battle field. A modified version of the gun is equipped on the Elite "metalhead" division's infamous power-armor, making the already devastating gun a mobile terror tat can shred anything everywhere.

From the Diary of an Ex-Military officer who later joined the rebels:

"Contrary to popular belief, my soldiers never asked me, what do we fight for. Young Guys and Young Girls, Barely 16, 15 years old... Heck, I've once seen one of our Famous "Tortoise" Heavy duty tank(1), twisted like a child toys, and there was this corpse, near the exit hatch, dead. He was no Older then what, 14? young people, with hope in their eyes, that just 2 years ago still played with dolls, toy cars, or argued with each other over cheap chocolate. When I was a fresh recruit... we always asked, demanded to know. Often got beaten for it. we asked "why are shooting those people?" and we could not understand why are they rebelling against our glorious Social policies. but those recruits? The so called next generation? Never disobeyed, never questioned. We were landed on a planet on the edge of our solar system. Some desolate rocky planet,rich with uranium.
Five minutes after the landing, A standard "Eagle" chopper (2) brought us to a city.It was then when we saw the so called rebels. Hungry people, with poorly written signs written in the common language. "No food, no mine for you!" and "How can dead man mine?". I was shocked. Even in my age, after 30 years with the military, I've never heard about those mass murders. I refused to give order. shooting civilians? the idea was not comprehensible for me. Then, seeing my hesitation, my entire team, the oldest of whom was 21 years old, did what I never expected. They simply deployed the machine guns, and started shooting in the crowd without hesitation. killing woman, children, old people, and heck, they killed everything in front of them. Did you ever hear the roar of those .60-60k guns? Even this was not enough to deaf the screams coming from the crowd.

after it was all over, I realized that most of protesters died in the first salvo. They were shooting corpses for over 5 minutes, when they killed everyone in the first seconds. There was, about 15,000 protesters there? Each gun could shoot over 60,000 bullets per minutes, we had 5 of those, and they shot for 5 minutes before stopping. Nothing was left of the people. the 0.60 bullets coming from the machine guns simply shred them to pieces.

After that, one of my own trainees, some young "Blue Collars"(3) girl, comes to me, spits on the ground near me, and calls me a traitor. I did not know what those kids have undergone in their life. How the republics fed them from birth with propaganda. Subliminal messages, drugs, collective punishments, and the damned Blue collars, a collection of young people who'd detect people who were prone to "Counter-Republican-thoughts" and beat them to death in the street.

it was not too long before I joined the rebels myself.

1) The "Tortoise" heavy duty tank is a heavily armored tank mainly used as a cannon fodder to clear the place for the bigger tanks.
2) The "Eagle" Chopper is the main troop carrier in the republics arsenal.
3)"blue collars" is a nickname of the "Neighbors watch force" that employed kids as a police force.
