Description
The Vasterlands, the fantasy universe I am developing for like... YEARS now. They are called Vasterlands because they are vast compared to my previous fantasy universe, and have actual history. The map is covered by a sea to the west and south, and a vast desert wasteland to the east. Up north there is the frozen arctic wasteland, with some settlements along the coast.
Berlucii used to be the seat of a powerful empire, the Santine Empire, that stretched across all the Vasterlands. Guided by dragon gods, it eventually crumbled in a religious revolution led by a prophet calling herself Santin. After it crumbled, new countries formed, each with their own unique goverment:
Arlazeth, a feudal magocracy.
D'armein, an absolute monarchy in the process of urbanizing.
Aya'an, a religious autocrathy ruling over colonies abroad, who are mostly autonomous.
Berlucci, A vaguely united country full of feuding city-states and feudal lords.
Eros and Thanatos, a lawless former kingdom full of monsters and roving bandits.
Orlov, a vast kingdom who manages most trade with the people beyond the wasteland.
Vilkas, a tribal kingdom that is at constant odds with Orlov, D'armein and Berlucii.
Farlands, a northern barbarian kingdom full of tribes that occasionally untie into a horde.
So yeah, letting this one out. Might do a proper review of each country some time.
By the way, who are the clever people who can get all the shout-outs in the mountains and rivers names? They are pretty obvious if you know the games!

Vilkas! But for real I want to know all about this place. I can't read the print on the names. I'll check tomorrow on the other computer.

try zooming in twice, this map is really high resolution (I made a horrible mistake when setting the resolution, which makes small text unreadable)
