M-m-multi-fail!

Conservatism impedes progress, and while its perfectly fine in the context of erring on the side of caution, its too heavily balanced towards the rich.

Socialism is the natural progression of capitalism because capitalism makes too much money in the hands of too few people; socialism levels the playing field.

Capitalism promotes inequality, and in a society where 'all men are created equal' are some just 'more equal than others?' It also does not allow for everyone to have a job, because it requires people to be unemployed so there's a demand for jobs.

Long story short, take a political science class.

No Conservatism (as it is supposed to be) is the conservation of the restrained ideals of the Constitution of the United States. Today, it is known as libertarianism.

Capitalism is not bad nor is it good. It is a system of prosperity-making. Economic mobility is high in america contrary to the main media. Capitalism is not skewed towards the rich! That is corporatism which in turn is done with government. Is socialism really the answer. Even in Sweden there is much more general economic freedom than in the United States.

How is capitialism putting too much money in the rich.

Obama is a Socialist, there are Socialists in Germany and France, and they are amond the richest and most advanced nations, China is sort-of communist, and dominates the world currently, whereas the Capitalist system has dragged the world into recession. And Europe existed LONG before the USA, so they are most definately not children. The Soviet Experiment did not work as it should have, and you are 100% right, it will never work properly, yet they did much good as well as bad. They tried to help the Afghans with schools and education, but were attacked by CIA-Trained Mujahadeen, while most of the Afghans accepted them, and were treated better than they were / are. And remember, one day a freedom fighter, the next a 'terrorist' (How the Mujahadeen suddenly 'turned on' < Which they didn't, the USA who abandoned Afghanistan to the Warlords, not bothering to help once their enemies were gone (The Mujahadeen are what are not the Taliban). However, the US are the Soviet's allies from the war to end all wars, and should have remained that way, if both sides had not been paranoid. So, I like America very much <3, and I like the Soviets, as both have done much good and much bad.

If you this USA is on par w/ any other nation, particularly ussr, you are mistaken.

If we are so bad why did we not take over the world? Everyone blames us for all the world ills, then when something goes wrong they want us to fix everything, then blame us all over again.

Much of the free world hid behind our skirts for 50 yrs. Every once in a while it would be nice to be appreciated instead of compared to china or ussr.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Cweed1 In reply to Conservatoons [2010-03-31 15:27:59 +0000 UTC]

Have you ever considered looking at it from a neutral country's point of view? "Much of the free world hid behind our skirts for 50 yrs." - Some country's did the same to the USSR, thinking America as the 'enslaving power' Also, "Much of the free world hid behind our skirts for 50 yrs." - What point is there in saying that? No-one has ever done this, and America would collapse if it tried, as all others have. Yet, they are making a little empire for themselves in the Middle-east (Did you notice that Iran, the new target, is directly between Iraq and Afghanistan?) And pintlessly went into countries with the 'communist threat' and massacred the populace (Vietnam, Grenada, Korea)just for wanting more power for the individual? You can understand them wanting that, can you not? And of course, we all know, that doesn't happen in Sov/Sino-Communism, and they have dictators / leaders. But pure communism will never work, due to the greed of all.

One more thing, in many cases, America does cause the World's ills, by interferring, then have to interfere to put it right, which, in my opinion, is fair, as Russia, for example does much the same, it all depends on your country's point of view.

A good easter to you

May be a little late to post this, but both arguements are partially correct. Capitalism is not a bad system...it's not all that good but it's the lesser of all evils. Communism is a failed system and Socialism only works in countries that have enormous amounts of money which are very little countries, so capitalism is the only system which works reasonably that can be applied everywhere. It is true that a lot of countries blame the US for a lot of things that are barely their fault but one must admit that the US have made a lot of mistakes (especially under Republican rule) such as the Irak war and funding the 1976 Argentine coup d'etat to dispose of Peronist guerrilla men. The US is not a bad country, it's a decent one it does good stuff and it does bad stuff.

I don't like this picture however because it's straight up propaganda I mean calling Democrats politically de-evolved apes is a cheap shot, I respect your opinion but you're just pushing propaganda here, Mr. Goebbels

"The US is not a bad country, it's a decent one it does good stuff and it does bad stuff. " Well said sir. As I was trying to say above, Capitalism and Communism are both bad, yet both have good elements, although both have the same motto re-arranged "All are equal, just some more equal than others". Obama is doing A LOT of good for the American health system, yet no-one seems to see it yet, I mean, look at Britain's NHS, it is a BRILLIANT idea, and the free healthcare of the former Soviet Union. When you look back in a few years, you'll thank Obama for those reforms, unless you are of the 3% of Americans in their Beverly Hills mansions, unlike the slums of most of the rest of America (That is not an insult, just what I say in my trip around America). They say religion is at the root of all wars, I personally think it is Oil, Money and Political system. Fascism is worse than both systems.

Good day.

the soviets.. don't get me started. do you understand how many people died in the ukraine because of the soviet union and stalin? 25,000 a day, because he was exporting grain for money rather than feeding the people he had conquered. The soviets were just as bad as the nazis.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Cweed1 In reply to mnemosa [2010-03-30 15:27:09 +0000 UTC]

He didn't conquer Ukraine, it was part of Russia at that time. But as for the rest, it is still uncertain whether Stalin orchestrated the famine, as that year, there was a general failing of crops, yet he should have fed them some of the reserve grain, of course. Also, that is just Stalin, not the entire legacy of the Soviet Union.
