Description
What is likely to be the next terrorist target(s)?Well, schools, colleges and hospitals are liberal bastions and virtually gun free. Thank god there is a strong push to protect those places -- uh, that's right. There isn't.

Nothing like feeling like a flock of sheep ripe for the slaughter huh?
I haven't heard anyone discuss gun rights in the presidential race yet. Who supports gun ownership and who wants us to be defenseless victims? That's one of the things I want to know.

Nobody should worry though, since our police force and court system are so good at protecting us. You know, from white collar criminals. You can't expect them to deal with the dangerous ones.

Giuliani, as governor of New York, saw what gun abuse does to a city. His policies might have been a bit restrictive (anathema to you, I know), but thing is, they worked. NYC went from being a hole in the ground to a national treasure. Results before rhetoric, my friend.

It was because of increased law enforcement and penalties - not gun control. Facts befor rhetoric, friend.

If I have to explain it you are almost too far gone to reach. "increased law enforcement and penalties" means: cops actually arresting people and putting them in jail - even charging, citing and fining. "shall not be infringed" is the last part of the 2nd. How does gun control fit in with that?
Gun control is libspeak for gun abolition. See Britain, Australia, most of Europe. Do you really want the "Man" to be the only one armed?

Yeah, countries with strict gun policies are all Orwellian police states. Good one...
Geez, you and the 2nd Amendment. Yes, the Bill of Rights is a groundbreaking and crucial document. It was also written MORE THAN 200 YEARS AGO. If a business tried to operate based on 1791's business rules, it would die. Why must our government cling to tradition in the face of insurmountable evidence against it?

I will arm myself with facts: Deaths by personal firearm are occurring more frequently than ever before. Something I'm sure John LOCKE would recognize.

OK, am I missing something here? What exactly is the difference between "increased law enforcement and penalties" and gun control? By definition, gun control is not gun abolition. Also, your "new" opinion contrasts with the "right to guns all the time" shtick you had a month ago.

A denfenseless person is a person who is unable to fight whether by a certain situation or by choice. You can still stop a burgler by shoving your foot up his balls. This would be a good example: [link]

That was pretty funny. I had to bookmark that site.
But anyway, it's not the point that you can still defend yourself without a gun. That's obvious. The point is that self-defense is viewed more and more as a negative thing.
Just look at the way police are handled. There are groups that want our police force completely unarmed. No guns, no tasers, no clubs, not even pepper spray.
If that's what they want the state of the police to be, what do you think they want for average citizens?
For now, we're plenty safe though. I don't predict the repealing of the 2nd amendment anytime soon.
But, I suppose you can still be charged with a crime for shooting someone that breaks into your house or business.

What if the terrorist made up an excuse by saying they don't know how to read the sign? I've heard that some Vietnamese guys used that excuse so they can fish in restricted areas and, ironically enough, the reason for being restricted is because the water was tainted (Irongate and Copco).

Well, you know what they say about drastic times. I'm not quite so sure on the demographics so I'm not so sure. But having a police drug sniffer dog (and his armed handler) at a school would've stopped those two shootings we had awhile ago. You know what the prescribed method for evading a shooter in school is now? Lock the doors, hudel in a corner away from the door, and keep quite. Not very effective I say.
