So sorry on how late I am to comment on this. But this is really gorgeous! You did an amazing job with the background, the blue and pinkish work really nicely with Merlin's deep red scales. I love the detail you put into each scale and just how clean the whole image is, this is really fabulous. He's definitely a complex character but you got everything correct!
