Normally I don't write critique's for artists that are way past my skill level for fairness but the other critique left gave me an uneasy feeling in my stomach reading it how great it was but then had no concept of really giving a true rating.
I'm not going to get rid of originality points just because it's not your own character. Since that rating goes towards the creative process behind the drawing and keeping it interesting. The beautiful background, expression and the change of thickness of lines towards the bottom of the picture keeps the picture from looking flat or like any other ordinary painting style drawing, it's an interesting style choice.
The other review mentioned that the shadowing on the face made it as though she has a beard, this is partly true. Changing the position of it ever so slightly would make it look more like the natural cheekbone look you were going for. The ear is also a bit too far back, making the jawline a bit too far back as well, though this could just be because of the cheek shading making it look like so.
Your shading is great, though there are a few line things that are a nitpick. The bold outside line on the shoulder on the right isn't smooth and dips down unnaturally. The main neck-piece, the golden part is also a bit curvy on the right, unless it is of a chain material should not bend or dip down in crevices on the wearer, it should stay a solid object. The shine on the jewelry should also not be where the shadow is casted down from the face.

I think the shading is all wrong, it somewhat looks like she has a beard. Since how you placed the shadow it seems like someone is standing by her who is a foot taller then her. It seems that her make up has only been applied in some places which I know is your work, it looks like you were doing the finishing touches when you accidentally painted over her lips . The design is amazing the whole style works for her. Her eyes are wonderfully done fully colored. Her hair is amazing it is one clump yet it is it's own where we see all the strands of hair so it doesn't look like just a helmet where her hair should be. The jewelry she wears is amazing it is the first thing that really stood out to me the simplistic design makes it so complex and beautiful I love the symmetry it is wonderful. If this was in display in a museum I would spend an hour just staring at it unless it was the first picture in the gallery which I would only spend about fifteen minutes at the most I Wouldn't buy this though some of your other work I would.
Now lets get to the stars shall we
Vision 2 stars
I gave it two for I really don't know what vision is spouse to mean but I feel that it is lacking.
Originality 3 stars
I would have given it four stars though I found out it wasn't your idea but your friends.
Technique one and a half stars
I feel you didn't blend well enough at some moments or that you didn't really give it that much of a look over. Granted with some of my stories are the same way because I get so excited that it is done I just post them with out caring about it that much.
Impact half star
It really doesn't stand out to me the art I have seen from you and others stand out more then this.
All together 3 stars
I find about more mistakes or personal dislikes with this picture though I will say that this is still better than average. I am going to fave this still for it is better than most it defiantly could be better though I have seen that on this website. I feel like I am just rambling now though I will say this the good is really good so keep trying don't give up.

You are welcome I almost want to say has no one been really honest with you before. Though I am glade you say thanks for the critique I know for me when someone says something honest about my work I usually can't say thank you. I will say this I can't wait to see your next art.

The only thing that strikes me as remotely off, is the eyes. They seem a tad small to me, like she has the stoned squint eyes. Too much happy grass?

Hahaha oh man, this is almost how my friend described her. "She usually looks like a instagram chick on pot" was how she described Ceciliae's expression.

Yep, I agree with that assessment. Over all it looks quite nice.

I'm sorry this isn't a formal critique. I always feel like I'm unkind when I dish them out- And I don't think it would be fair for me to critique something when it is bounds above where I am artistically- I would still like to leave a detailed comment though. I hope some of it might be useful?
I really like the background and "fade out" at the bottom. The way the picture is "framed" is really charming, and I think that the pattern in the background co-ordinating with dainty purple detail on her outfit is a nice touch. The way she vanishes towards the bottom gives the impression she's a spirit and I think it works well.
The shading is beautiful and draws your eye to the details on the clothing. (If anyone is looking at the small view at this, please zoom in to see the full size version - the colour looks great close up!) Her hair is my favourite part of this, I always find shading darker hair really difficult so I think I can learn a lot from how you have done this. The flowers are such a nice touch and inject a lot more colour into the piece. I do agree somewhat with your initial critique - the shading on her cheeks makes her face look a little out of perspective. If it were a bit more a curve rather than a harsh angle, I think it wouldn't look so severe. I love how you've shaded this though, I think it would be quite a small tweak that would make a bit of difference. The golden hairpiece is also a bit "tight" to her forehead, and that might because the arrowhead point at the end is off centre with her nose?
Overall I think it's a really nicely put together drawing and she has a very pretty face~ Maybe one day I can learn how to draw lips and noses like you do. I hope your friend likes it as much as I do! I hope I get chance to watch the speedpaint to see what techniques I can learn.

I really like the shading, the kind of "art nouveau" aspect, and just the regal air of the character
