Hi there! This is a comment from ProjectComment
At first glance I mistook the lady in your piece for an elf before I saw the horns growing out of her head. Along with the background whose top part can be interpreted as a halo, it adds to the mysterious feeling your piece radiates. The colours are well balanced and neither the gold of the diadem and the earring or the grey in parts of the background stand out at all. The way the lady is painted make it seem like it's traditional art and goes along with how your piece isn't what it seems at first sight. Only on closer inspection one can see that the lady is not blind and the water lily is in fact growing inside the lady. It's hidden by the purple colour of the water lily's stem which is the same hue of her clothing, and the two purple strands of fabric above the water lily only further obscure that it's growing inside her. The background's purple and grey colours and flowers further compliment your piece.
There's a strand beneath the lady's right eye that seems to come out of the diadem she's wearing, but doesn't really fit into the general composition of your piece. I'm absolutely no expert in shades, but, given the angle of her head, the shade on her left cheek seems to be a little too close to her mouth. And I wonder whether the lady is wearing only one earring. If there is another one on her left ear, then the lower part of it should be visible.
Overall I like how your piece is not what it seems to be at first sight and the mysterious air that comes with hiding things in plain sight. It makes me wonder whether the lady in your piece is an elf-demon or rather a ghost whose heart is a water lily. I also looked at the picture by Hisu Lee that you added in your description. His photo is an artwork of its own and the way you turned it into a different yet similar artwork is wonderful!
