Wish I'd had time to do my make up and hair! D8
So Sakura Con was this past weekend, and guess who I went as…*points at pictures* YUP! I cosplayed that blonde blue eyed woman of Daxters, Tess! It was fun and I stood out being the ONLY one of my kind there, but O zmog, I felt a little uncomfortable exposing so much of my body. I was majorly sucking it in the whole time. I mean, not saying that I'm fat, over weight - yeah. I wasn't as ummm….ucky lookin' as some other girls there, but still, besides the fact that Tess and all the Jak girls are abnormally thin and sexy, I still needed to loose at least another 10 pounds before feeling comfier about it. Cause I have the body (in a human way x3 ), it's just covered in icky flab, and probably always will be.
*cough* But, enough of that.

I've been planning this costume since about the end of summer. I was originally going to go as ottsel Tess, but since I waited till a week before the convention to actually start making or even buying the materials for it, I had to settle with just being Elvin. I didn't even get to finish all of this, not to mention cute and style my hair right, or make myself a little Daxter plush to carry around with me. Gah, I loose, and have uber baggy eyes here from staying up late working on this.
- Maybe I can be an ottsel next year.
It's a pretty simple outfit to make (unless you're going for absolute identical perfection o.o) at least it was the way we made it. My Dad and I just bought a bunch of stuff from some cheep-o second hand stores and cut and stitched as was needed. There are some things obviously missing , due to lack of time, which is sad, but I brought it upon myself…I guess.
The shorts were pants. The neck scarf thingy was a normal fuzzy snow boarding scarf. The boots (which are a few sizes too big in MENS my ankles were hurtin' cause my feet are too small to touch the inside of the shoe!) are light blue man boots that I took a blue fabric marker and silver sharpie to. The gloves I bought and cut the fingers off. The shin leggings and lederhosen (? ) was a brown leather jacket. I made the ears out of thick paper and lunch bags, and painted them with tube water colors. X3

And…that's about it.

- I just noticed that the top flap of my leggings are flopped over in every picture – why didn't I look before they snapped?! O.o
