Hi did I ever mention that Robots is my favorite movie of all time. Probably doesn't come as a big surprise seeing how many robot OCs I have lol.This movie has got almost everything I like pretty much. Amazing character and world designs, lots of colors, cute robot boys, and extremely dark overtones and anti-capitalist messages disguised as a cute kid's filmΒ πΒ

I loved that movie as a kid. I still remember the moral of the story. No matter if your made of old parts, new parts, or spare parts. You can shine no matter what you're made of.Β
It's one of the movies that inspired me to seek out to be an animator.Β

Oh sweet! That movie gave me a lot of inspiration too. I have a whole story that I'm working on that's about a world inhabited by colorful sentient robots. It was partially inspire by the movie Robots (also took some inspo from the Transformers cartoons as well.)

Sounds cool. You know what would make it interesting, the story takes place in a future where humans have mainly gone extinct and robots rule the planet. But one robot tries to uncover the ancient world of the humans and try to find out what happened to them and where have they gone.Β

Thatβs sorta-ish what happened. It does take place in the future and humans are scarce, but itβs hundreds of years after the robot uprisong.
I also wanted to do something a little different where the robots are portrayed as the victims in the situation rather than the humans.
Iβd go more into detail, but theres kind of a lot and I donβt wanna leave a huge wall of text here. Plus thereβs also a lot of stuff Iβm keeping away from the public in order to avoid spoilers.
