one thing that i didn't understand is: does alex (being a shapehifter) changes her appearance to be a girl when she feels like a girl and to be a boy when she feels like a boy?

i dont think she does since there were no instances of magnus pointing out physical changes when alex would assign her gender (except in their first meeting but it's probs just magnus shifting his perspective when he realized alex was genderfluid)

Not always. I'm not like Magnus where I just know if Alex is choosing to be a girl today or a guy. I'm bad at reading social cues and how people are acting or feeling.Β

actually, i asked my genderfluid friend about it, and they said it's safer to call alex she/her because it's what she prefers most of the time. they also said "s/he" is a transphobic thing to say
