Description
The afternoon sun was beginning to set. Ashwin and Taima had spent the entire day together, galloping around and just catching up. But sadly they both knew that their time together was coming to an end. Taima's father, Gunner, would soon set out looking for her and would attack Ashwin on the spot. Ashwin sighed staring at the grass before looking towards Taima's beautiful blue eyes. "Taima.."
"Yes?" She responded by turning toward Ashwin. "I was thinking, that, maybe since we're both older now we could, set out together. Leave our herds and travel the west. Just the two of us, no fathers telling us what to do. Just the open plains." Taima looked down, sadness filling her eyes. "Ashwin you know I could never leave my father, he needs me and so does yours."
"But why Taima? Eventually we're going to have to leave, and I want it to be with you." Ashwin stepped forward and nuzzled Taima's shoulder. "Ashwin, I just, I can't.." Taima turned on her heels and galloped off back towards her herd. Ashwin was following close behind, "Taima, wait!" Tears streamed down Taima's face as she called back, "Go home Ashwin!" Ashwin stopped, staring after the grullo filly he loved more than life itself. She had grown so much, yet she was still too young to leave. "I will wait for you Taima, I love you." With that Ashwin turned and headed slowly home, his thoughts raced after Taima and what she was thinking.
