She took off. Bolting down the hill too where the beast was attacking her Colt. Cookie was never normally a 'foal-type' horse, but her motherly instincts drove her to fight off her demon. The whole thing was a blur to the dun. When the fight had finished, the mare's brown muzzled pressed itself against the dark dun colouring of the Colt. Vapour was dead. It took the mare a few moments to process this, she nipped at the colts wispy mane to try to wake him. She pushed on his rump and tried to get him to stand. Cookie pawed at the ground and let out a soft neigh. She tried everything she could think off.

Anger started to build within the broken body. She pinned her ears, angry at herself for letting her guard down for just a few seconds. She knew that Kira had wanted to harm this goal since his birth, now that he had fulfilled his wish he was stronger. This took effect on cookie. The mare started to lash out; rearing tall before slamming her hooves down into the grass.

Cookie stood next to the small lifeless body. Tears starting to fall from her blood shot eyes. She didn't know what to think anymore. Cookie looked up when she saw the black and white maned stallion standing near the pair. Cookie looked to the foal then the Wollie. "I-I.. H-He.." She couldn't get her words out. Bandit just walked closer, her could feel his own tears starting to fall from his closed eyes.

Cookie instantly pressed her face into the thick mane of the stallion. "It's okay Cookie.." Bandit said quietly, making an attempt at trying to calm his friend. "No it's not! How is it okay!?" The pink manes mare's voice was quiet and harsh. Bandit knew she blamed herself for this and he knew how she's become. He didn't want to leave her on her own. Cookie just cried harder into his chest. "I hate him, why can't he just leave me alone" she tried to voice through her sons. Bandit let out a quiet sigh "I know you hate him Cooks.. But you can't control it". The two stood, Bandit comforting his old mate.
