You had decided to escape from that community you called 'home' and joined the military. Even though many people had called you that from the start of your teen years, Your facial expression was never different nor changing every time. Even though people tried their hardest to see you break, nothing seemed to work for you. In the beginning, you walked through the corridors of the Survey Corps with the same expression which gave away mysterious murmurs around the whole site. No one really bothered to approach you since your facade was very intimidating. It was until then that you had finally met him you thought that your life will change.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing Cadet?"

You looked up from barely putting away the spare cleaning supplies you had found in the supply closet.

"I had just finished cleaning my room sir. It was disturbing me so I cleaned it."

Levi looked at you for a moment before you closed the door to the closet, facing him and giving him a salute. He continued to stare at you and how your face was rather stoic than most girls that he has approached. He gave a curt nod before turning around and leaving your sleeping quarters without a word. You sighed slightly before sitting on your bed, reading a book through your free time. Many more months and a couple of years passed on by, meaning that more expeditions have come and gone as well. Being in the Survey Corps for more than 5 years, you had moved up from being a Cadet to a Squad Leader. You were glad and appreciated the offer from the previous Commander, General Keith. You stood in your own and new office/bedroom, looking around a bit. Suddenly, a knock was heard from your door and you called the person inside.

"Come in."

Finding it a bit odd but rather welcoming, Corporal Levi walked in, closing the door behind him. You bowed a bit, nodding to him as you took a seat in your chair. He walked further, setting himself by the windowsill and looking out at the new cadets doing their hand to hand combat. It was quiet at first until you had decided to break the silence.

"Can I help you, Corporal?"

It was silent once more before he responded, however, not looking at your direction.

"I just wanted to congratulate you, that's all. You deserved to make your mark after all."

He finally looked at you, making your eyes widen just a fraction before they went to normal size. You continued to stare at him before nodding at his way.

"Thank you Corporal."

He simply stared at you before he nodded back, the silent communication coming back again. He got up from his place and silently walked out of your office without a word. Although it never came to you that you were never revealing any emotion, it somehow affected Levi's heart. As teams were chosen after the trainees had graduated, you had to deal with 5 members.

You looked at the 5 in front of you as they saluted you, however, they looked more nervous than before since you weren't saying a word. Erwin and Levi were watching you as you were expecting your troops, circling them as they stood there, waiting for what you were going to say. You stopped and stood in front of them and did something you had never done in public before. You smiled at them. Levi was shocked seeing some emotion being expressed from somebody like you. After knowing your existence in the campsite, he has never seen you expose any emotion. Your troops stood there, their eyes wide as they stared at you with awe.

"Welcome to the Survey Corps. As another welcome, I want you all to come follow me to my office."

You said, looking at each of the new troops. They agreed in unison as they followed you to your office inside the building. Levi watched you leave with the rest of your squad, Erwin looking down at his second hand in command. He gave him a smile, catching him red handed as he continued to stare at the leaving figure.

"And I thought that she was emotionless like you, Levi."

"Shut up Erwin."

He simply chuckled before leaving his spot and making his way to his office. Levi stayed there for a moment before leaving as well, walking back to his own office. He took a deep breath, inhaling slowly then out. Levi looked at the stack of work that he had finished and the time that has passed while he was working. Closing his eyes for a moment, your smile had suddenly filled his memory. Opening them, he got out of his chair, and climbed into his comfortable bed not without changing out of his uniform. Throughout the whole night however, your smile had never left his mind, ever.

Another few months has passed by, meaning that time was running out for the towns people. Many people had complained to Erwin about their financial needs and the quality they deserved was supposed to be well taken care of. However, with the stress that has also fallen upon the Squad Leaders, you were stuck in your office for many late nights filling out and filing papers for Erwin. Even though this was helping him get some work done, you were feeling a bit too tired from all this upcoming paper work that comes and goes on most occasions. You groaned as you put your pen down, rubbing your eyes tiredly. Hearing a knock, you muffled a quiet response. You heard your door open, not even moving to look up from your hands.

"This should help with that headache of yours."

You finally had the energy and looked up, finding that Levi was holding a cup of tea in his hands. He gently placed it on the edge of your desk, setting himself on the couch in front of your desk. You looked at the steaming beverage, taking it carefully in your hands and taking a swig. You sighed with content as you closed your eyes, letting the liquid run through your body. Levi seemed to be watching your every move so you looked, finding that he was staring at you. You both stared at each other for a moment before you looked away, placing the cup down.

"Thank you for the tea, Corporal."

"Levi."

You were slightly shocked as you looked up from your hands, looking at the man in front of you.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Please, call me Levi. But only when we're alone."

You blinked for a moment before nodding ever so slowly and continued to look at him suspiciously.

"Al-Alright..If you say so."

You said before you went to look at your work again. You heard Levi shift slightly on the couch before you heard him rise, making you look up at him again. It was a weird feeling inside, you didn't know what it was and it was starting to throb really bad. 'Is it a cramp?' You thought, your hand slightly rising to your chest.

"Well, I will be o--"

He was cut off suddenly when you saw his eyes widen a bit. You looked down and noticed that he had stubbed his foot on the footrest of the couch. He grunted as he sat back down, massaging his foot. Humanity's Strongest Soldier has just stubbed his toe. You couldn't contain the laughter that was bubbling inside your throat and somehow, it slipped out. Levi looked at you as you had started to laugh, not ever seeing this kind of expression before. He stared at you as you continued to laugh, wiping a stray tear that had decided to form on the corner of your eye. You looked at him, still giggling from the earlier events before you blinked, collected yourself and cleared your throat. Just like that, you were back to normal, your face stoic like it was in the ver beginning.

"Good day Corporal."

He nodded and made his way out of your office, closing the door behind him. And even though that he had the door closed behind him, he could still hear the faint giggles coming from behind the wooden door. Little did you know that made him smile a rare and tiny smile.

"Everyone cover this area!"

"Jean-Paul!! Hurry and gra--"

"Jo-Joanne!!"

It was all a blur and once you were looking back looking for your squad, you had realized that only two had survived. For now that is. You were riding your horse as fast as it can carry you while there were 3 titans at your tail. Jean-Paul Beaumont, Joanne Mendez and Thomas Bonheur were victims of the 3 titans that were currently hunting you down. Celine rode on your right, and Natsu at your left. You didn't care about killing them at the moment, all you wanted to do was run away.

"Squ-Squad Leader! Wh-What do we do!?"

"Keep running! We're almost there!!"

You wanted to be there for the remaining of your squad. To know that there is someone there with courage and discipline inside somebody. But you weren't like that all. Your facial features were stoic, yes. But in the inside, you were terrified. You continued running until you heard a scream on your right, finding that the abnormal Titan was on all fours, running faster than as if it was running on two feet. Natsu used his 3DMG to cut off the hand that had grabbed Celine, Natsu barely escaping another Titan's grasp. You looked at the two as Natsu held Celine close to his chest, riding on her horse.

"Are you alright!?"

"Ye-Yes Squad Leader!"

You nodded as you continued to whip your reins harder so your horse can go faster. You were slightly panting as you tried your best to stop yourself on constantly looking back at the 3 beasts trying to come and consume the three of you. You were almost there, almost to the safe zone until something caught the sight from the corner of your eyes. You whipped your head back, looking as the abnormal titan had jumped. You gasped as you looked at Natsu and Celine, Natsu still holding Celine close. Within a mere second, you shoved them away, catching them off guard. Although you had given Natsu a broken foot, you were still able to get them away from the three titans. You were alone now, Natsu screaming your name.

"RUN!! GET TO BASE, NOW!!"

"WE CAN'T LEAVE YOU BEHIND, SQUAD LE--"

"LEAVE NOW, THAT'S AN ORDER!!!"

Natsu looked like he was going to cry. He continued to look at you as he limped and carried Celine, riding his horse to the other direction. You grunted as you were caught, the titan had bitten your side roughly as he had started to shake you like a dog would. His grip on your body had loosened and you were headed for a tree. Hitting head first, you groaned as your body fell limp on a tree branch, your body hidden within the leaves and your blood seeping through your uniform and staining the brown bark. You couldn't control your breathing anymore, it was coming in staggered breaths in very pants. You hadn't realized you were in that tree for so long, all you realized was that the titans had moved away and were long gone. You were starting to get tired, feeling heavy and just wanted to rest. You just wa--

"[ F/N ]!"

Your eyes snapped open as you weakly turned your head from left to right, seeing everything in front of you upside down. It wasn't until then that you heard somebody land beside you and started to lay beside somebody's warm chest. You grunted painfully, feeling the person gently rest your head on somebody's thigh. You cracked your eyes open, looking straight into steel colored eyes. You had recognized them before and you continued to stare into them, your breathing the only one being heard until the silence was broken.

"Le-..Levi..?"

"Yeah, Its me. You're going to be okay, [ f/n ]? Just stay awake."

You had started moving again, feeling the wind brush against your pale white cheeks and into your hair. You started to close your eyes for a moment before Levi had started to talk.

"Don't you dare close your eyes, [ f/n ]. I need you to stay awake. Stay with me."

Your eyes opened again, your [ e/c ] eyes looking more dull by the second. Suddenly, seeing the stars in the night sky, you had a sudden flashback when you were struck with reality.

"You whore!"

Your eyes were wide just by a fraction and tears poured out from your [ e/c ] orbs. This had caught Levi's attention, hearing the faint muffling sounds of your sobs. He looked down, looking up and down as he landed on his own two feet.

"Its okay, [ f/n ]. See, look. We're back in HQ."

"I-I don't want..yo-you to leave me.."

Levi was shocked at first and he stared at you as you were carried into a hospital bed. Your hand clung to his shirt, making him silently click his tongue. He carried you himself on the nurse bed, holding her hand as they tried to operate her. The more and more they tried to help her, the more her condition was getting worse. Levi stared at your face as you were just staring at the ceiling above you. Hanji looked at his comrade, her head slightly shaking as he pulled down the handkerchief.

"The more I try to do something..the more she's losing blood..I-I can't do anything.."

Levi stayed silent for a while before waving her away She took the signal and left the room, knowing that you both needed some time alone. Levi took a closer look at you as your eyes shifted to him, the both of you staring into each other's eyes.

"I-I--..ca-can't live in this world anymore.."

"Yes you can."

"Le-Levi.."

"YOU CAN! DON'T SAY SUCH A THING!!"

You stared at him as he held your hand, almost in a vice like grip. His knuckles turned white as you weakly placed your free hand on top of his fist. He looked up from the ground, looking into your eyes once more. You had given him the best smile you could muster, but you were just too weak. And you already knew, that it was your time. Tears started and fell once more, making Levi shift and wipe the tears away with a shaky hand.

"Tha-..Thank you..s-so much.."

"Wh--"

"Eve-..Even if I looked like..I-I didn't show it..yo-..you're the most..important person that has ever ha-happend to m-..me.."

Eyes were becoming dull and your skin was getting cold. Your hold on his hand was getting weaker, and that only caused Levi to clutch onto your hand even tighter.

"Yo-..You brought my tr-..true self out.."

"[ f-f/n ]. Wa-..Wait..pl--please.."

"Yo-You're so special..yo-..you're so im-important.."

"[ F--F/N ] PLEASE!! DON'T DO THIS TO ME!!"

He knew you were fading away, and he was just too stubborn to let you go. He needed you alive and well again so you both can share tea together in the morning and have a chat about the new cadets. You were the one keeping him sane. It was too late for him to realize what this feeling meant and you were already on the brim of death.

"Le-..Levi.."

"[ f/n ], please..I-I'm begging you.."

Throughout the times you and Levi had spent together, were moments that you will never forget. He held your body close to his now, his face buried into the crook of your neck, hugging you now. He needed you in his life to keep him going on with this war. He found something that he needed to fight for, and it was slowly slipping through his fingers. He let his forehead rest on top of yours as he closed his eyes, letting his emotions overtake him. Tears were slowly coming out, and landing on top of her now cold cheeks, his hands clenching the back of your uniform stained with your blood. And before he knew it, it went silent and your body went limp. He hadn't had the chance to tell you. Not even the most important phrase that he wanted to tell you for the past months he had experienced with you.

"Stay with me..please.."
