Personal Info: The eldest of Kuro’s sons, he loves his family more than anything. But when the Tree attacked him & his siblings, he was reduced to a small blob of darkness, while his siblings perished, soon followed by his mother’s sacrifice. Seeking power for revenge, he consumed various creatures to get stronger over the years, until he came across a Light Spirit beaten & left for dead. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity for a body, he tried to take over this lost soul. However, the spirit was too strong, and instead was turned into a Darkling as it threw off Varis! Varis slinked into the shadows, not knowing he had created one of Nibel’s strongest warriors. Soon, after being hunted down & killed by Light Spirits, the Spirit Tree recognized him as the Owelet he killed 3 years ago. The Spirit Tree rebirthed him as a Light Spirit, similar to his mother, Kali. After many adventures, Varis decided to keep Nibel safe from the loss he experienced. He decided the best way to do this was to rule it (or at least PART of it) as king! But, this new body is feral, and hungered. Varis had to eat meat in order to live. Like a starving man who can’t keep food down. Desperately searching for that morsel of food that will finally satisfy him. Such is the burden, of Nibel’s prince.

ABILITIES

Wingblade: Makes his wings razor-sharp to use for close combat

Thunder Pitch: Varis concentrates lightning into his hand, and thrusts it into his enemy, electrocuting them.

Quill Barrage: Varis launches his feathers like razor-sharp kunai/darts.

Terror Talon: Creates slash waves with a swipe of his claws/talons.

Adaptation: Varis consumes prey, becoming stronger with each meal.

Thunder Rein: Varis calls down lightning from the sky, in the form of bolts or pillars.

Lightning claw: Varis coats his claws in electricity, causing the scratched opponent's nervous system to paralyze.

Plumage: Varis teleports, leaving many feathers behind.

Murder of crows: Varis calls in some Flyers to attack or distract an opponent.

SPIRIT STATE

Maelstrom: Varis creates a massive storm to attack all enemies.

Zwart Lightning: Varis creates Black lightning that’s more destructive than normal lightning. If used in the sky, can cause horrible storms. It can also unheal wounds.

Nevermore: Gives a hateful glare that causes anyone looking to be reminded of Kuro. This strikes fear into the hearts of most.

FRIENDS

Kin: The spirit he attempted to posses, Varis was taken by surprise when the darkling said he was thankful for the power. After many adventures, they became best friends, and Varis has become second in command of the Justicar.

Kali: The woman Varis recognizes as his mother. He wants to meet her soon, and feel her embrace again.

Ruby: A complex, winged spirit. Varis has chosen her as his queen & lover. They plan tyo have kids, and she's now Vari's fiance.

Feng: Varis thinks of him as his kind father. However, with rumor that Feng & Kali broke up, Varis can’t help but feel depressed.

Heimy: Having only been inducted to the "family" recently, he's currently unsure how to feel about her

ENEMIES

Senka: Varis’s archenemy. She killed his friends, tortured his mother, wore her tail as a scarf, and baked her into a DAMN CAKE!! Varis believes that once he consumes Senka, he’ll never hunger again. Due to the previously mentioned Incident, Varis now hates cake.
