Description
Here is a picture that I did of my original character, Whitnee Squirrel, in a Japanese outfit that consists of a kitsune mask, a red kimono with a fox tail pattern, and a pair of geta (Japanese sandals). Believe it or not, this picture I've done was actually inspired by a dream I had a while back that was based completely off the Disney animated movie "Wreck-It Ralph", in which I dreamt about the Squirrel Sisters (Whitnee and Jade) being the playable characters of a Japanese-themed arcade video game, and the game also included a mask power-up that allowed both characters to take out all enemies on the screen while wearing a stylish-looking outfit and wielding a pair of fans. For this picture I've done, I decided to draw Whitnee as how she would appear in her powered-up form in the game from my dream that I mentioned. As I was coloring the picture in, I was able to use a bright and colorful texture for the background. The picture turned out incredibly nice after being completed, and it's sure to please my friends and everyone else as well.Related content

Awesome Japanese wear. I wonder if she is performing a dance to either praise the goddess of Harvest Inori or the trickster Kitsune. Possibly the later since Inori is white; but then again so is Whitnee. Thought I would put my own two cents in there.
Either way it's a real good pose and really nicely placed.

The way I see it, I'm guessing that she would be doing a dance to praise the trickster, Kitsune, as a way of vanquishing her enemies in the arcade video game from my dream that I had a while back, in which the mask power-up that she and/or Jade collects would be quite similar to Mario's Hammer power-up from "Donkey Kong". Even though this is the only picture I've done based on my dream so far, I think I should go ahead and work on the ideas from the game, and I think you'll also be surprised that my dream was also based completely off the movie "Wreck-It Ralph", which I still enjoy watching whenever I can.

Yeah, I was also able to learn a little more about Japanese culture from the past after reading quite a few of the comics from the novels that have been released for a while. One thing's for sure, "Usagi Yojimbo" is definitely one of the best comic book series I have read, and I especially love the cast of characters featured in the series as well.

Believe it or not, I've actually become interested in Japanese culture since I was in second grade after learning about Japan, and I was also able to learn more about Japanese mythology after reading the stories of "Usagi Yojimbo" as well.

i became interested in fifth grade, when i got into the ninja turtles. that was long before i got into usagi yojimbo. I became interested in usagi when I first moved to Honolulu.
