Description
I plan for this loco to be for railworks/train simulator, and yes, I already know has made a great E2 pack for railworks, but there are certain problems that are annoying. So I'll be making my own pack that should hopefully be better.Related content

Well what are the problems? Can't fix them unless I'm told?

is there any info of what you think about my suggestions?

the siderods on my models are works drawing accurate. I agree with you about the counterweights. but having worked with steam engines for nigh on 5 years I know how light reflects off them and think that the way I do it on my models is fairly authentic

interesting thoughts
for me, the side rods on the locos seem a little bit larger than on your model. I take your word on you working with steam engines (which I'm quite jealous of), but parts like the smoke box don't seem very shiny, at least in pictures. The sky usually reflects on the painted areas, thus looking like either a white of blueish streak along the side.
I love your work, and your E2's are quite amazing, but these are some things I would hope could improve the models.

well, I would nit pick physics mostly, but there are problems with the looks of the locomotives.
honestly, you made a great loco pack, but these are some changes I think would look really good
to start with, the rods are too small, the E2s look as if they have very large side rods. The counterweights on the wheels are also the completely wrong shape and size. The counter weights on the middle wheels are supposed to be roughly 145° and in front of the rods as the loco goes forwards, its the opposite on the right side, the counterweight is -145° behind the rod, ahead of the rods going forwards.
(MAJOR NIT PICK) no short tank locos
when BR was formed, the E2's had minor modifications to their bodies. The running board and buffer beams had small cuts in the sides for what I'd assume is the universal loading gauge, there were also certain pillar looking things on the tops of the tanks that were removed during BR days too.
also, the body reflections don't look very good. Take SkyHook Games' Corris Railway pack
the body has very light amounts of metal reflection, and higher material hardness, which leads to a more realistic shine to the body
(huge nit pick) and I seriously hate the look of bumpy metal reflection.
the other "problems" that I look into are really just nit picks, mostly about the physics
I hope this will help

Looks good! Will you be making an extended side tank version as well?

oh course, I only uploaded this shot of the original tanks
