Glory be to God, this is amazing! So much detail, so much loving attention...it's beyond words. Which is exactly how any depiction of the Almighty should be.

I love how every time you illustrate Him He is represented differently, yet is unmistakable for who He is.

Incredible how, even with such attention to detail and loving attention, we artists cannot even touch the surface of the Lord's beauty...

It's so Amazing. The way that you have drawn this pic, every detail and the meaning of making this is...WOW! I really love this. It's something that everybody must see.

It's amazing that you see God in this way. You seem that you truly believe in God. You should start drawing more pictures from the Bible.(So do i)

Now you've made my day. Thank you.

Lucky-Raincloud In reply to ??? [2007-10-12 16:31:48 +0000 UTC]

Again: you've seem to personified God, in your head, as a lamb-goat hybrid anthropomorphic creature.

Strange, really.
But this is so beautiful! I love all the symbols used, and you could find even more symbols, not just pertaining to Christianity.

For example, I found several crescent moons in the piece, and I could have sworn I saw some Stars of David.
I just wish you would put the old sign for Christianity instead of the more modern one (the old one is the fish symbol.)
On more thing are what look like snake scales on his wings. This could be interpreted as the fact that, originally, the Serpent (Lucifer) was a part of him and was created by him, until he became something else entirely. Until he was filled with emotions like greed and envy.

Again, I love this one as much, or maybe more, than God in the Rain! :3

And yeah, when you first are writing the comment, no other comments appear, so it looks like this pic is a totally undiscovered gem. A gem, yes. Undiscovered it is not.

dominikolai In reply to ??? [2007-10-12 03:41:06 +0000 UTC]

This and "God is in the Rain" are the two most ambitious, meaningful, and stunningly beautiful things I have ever seen on DA. Really.
Each of the biblical images and symbols is a gloriously shocking testimony. Some are quite obvious, and others you have to look for harder to see, and when you do, you are awestruck and mystified.
I didn't know that you're a Christian, but now I definitely do. Doesn't it rock?

I'm so proud that an artist of this quality is the Anthro gallery co-director with Skeef. If it weren't for Skifi getting that job, I wouldn't be watching you right now, and wouldn't have seen these amazing true works of art.

The face of God looks like the Nightwatcher from "Princess Mononoke", and Pan from "Pan's Labyrinth". I like how you make it serene, majestic, and powerful.

Princess Mononoke was a huge inspiration for me. I was awe-struck when I saw it for the first time. I wanted to create something similar, but along Christian lines and suiting for the climate this time of year in Alaska. Thank you so much for the watch and comment!

This is incredible, the detail is breathtaking and awe inspiring. The power he radiates coupled with beauty is amazing and very moving. Also the amount of symbolism shows some serious thought into their piece of art and its impressive how you put some many symbols and hidden meanings and yet how they interact and flow together.

This must have taken you some time to finish and your patience in completing such a detailed piece is awsome .
