Chibi is such a sweet friend. I will have to thank her for telling others about this piece. Thank you for coming by and leaving such a wonderful comment! I see you paid a lot of attention to detail and I greatly appreciate that. All of the images in his robe (including the whale) are Bible stories from the Old Testament. Though the Bible is a difficult read, some of the stories in it are absolutely amazing. I hope that by seeing this image people will stop and think about God and what his book really means.

well I dunno about "lick"ing the print available button. You did a great job Ginger, the brilliance of the gold and light coming off of him is perfect. The single only thing I didn't like, was the same thing I wasn't big on in the un-colored version. His, er, I can't think of the word for what it is, but it's like the cloth hanging off him with the bible stories painted on, anyhow, compared to the rest of him, it seems so simple, and undetailed.

Though I don't believe in "One True God", and I'm not saying you shouldn't, I find this image spectacular... all the stories that have been told throughout time, Noah's Ark, Jonah and the Whale... all those stories... in his robes... you are an amazingly talented person and I simply love this... You practically make me speechless with this piece! Brava!

I can't help but think the Almighty is very pleased with this work. It's definitely well done, and conveys His awesome power. 
btw, I never thought of it before, but it is true that the Creator is also the Destroyer. I mean, there were definitely a lot of times in the Old Testament where He did things that were quite the opposite of creating...

Definitely. Creation and Destruction are his powers and his powers alone. Life and Death, etc. He is after all more than what we could possibly fathom. He is the perfect judge. I'm surprised that in his perfection we weren't completely wiped out. That's what makes him an even greater being, because he also has the ability to have love and mercy beyond anything we could imagine.
