My very first artwork using bases!Anyways, these are my ponies: Hopeful StarBright (Right) and Calligraphia StoryBrooke (Left).
They're based on myself and my friend , so I used pastel green and garnet red as her colors. The Cutie Marks are the only ones I hand drawn on my art program that's not pixelated.
For Callie, I used Rarity's body, Rainbow Dash's second Galloping Gala hairstyle and Fluttershy's tail in her Crystal Pony form.
For Hope, I used Twilight's alicorn body for height and AppleJack's hair and tail in her Crystal Pony form. The freckles I added myself because I have freckles myself.

Aww, they're cute! I really like the way you used Applejack's Crystal Pony mane design for your OC. And how in the world did you come up with those Cutie Marks?! I had trouble coming up with the ones for my ponies!

Thx! ^^ And it wasn't easy! I pretty much based the Cutie Marks on me and DollGirl's talents and likes: Art/Drawing and a love of stars for me, and writing stories and a love of fairytales for her. I then thought up of different images based on those things and the first ones popped into my head.
But simple symbols is cool too.

For my OCs, I based their Cutie Marks off of their personalities and talents: my main OC Bright Light is an inventor and she tends to come up many ideas that she thinks will solve the problem; that's why her Cutie Mark's a light bulb. Her father, Limelight, is a director and loves being the center of the attention, so his Cutie Mark's a stagelight. I'm still workingΒ on the Cutie Marks for her mother and sister, though.
