I finished this long ago, I'm not sure why it took me so long to submit it!I've been wanting to do a Legend of Zelda comic for a long time... I don't mean a strip, I mean a full fledged comic. That desire was kick started again with OoT 3DS.
People don't respect Princess Ruto as much as they should. Suuuure, her having a thing for Link while being half fish is disturbing, but she's a decent tsundere character.
I finally figured out how to draw Link accurately: Give him chubby legs!!

I always thought they were cute, and I mean really, there are a lot more weird canon ships out there. Alas, I'm a zelink shipper to the death so this is all null and void.

I don't blame Link for that look on his face. I honestly really hate images where they sexulize characters that not suppose to be. I mean yeah, Ruto grows older and there is "development". But not a large amount. Why. First of all she is what 17 or something. Second she is a fish women unless she was made to look sexy because it fits with the characters personality, Like the Gerudo. So I am glad you made this picture. Link if I could jump into the game I would be staring angerly with you.

Reminds me of a scene with Wolverine. And it's not that terribly disturbing if you come from Sci-Fi land. Things like that happen all the time. Look at Spock!

I'm on the same political side as except that Ruto is not ONE of my favorite characters, but my SINGLE favorite character. She, in my eyes, BELONGS with Link. I just wish they did a little more exploring on this.

Ruto is one of my fav characters, when first saw her I thought her design was awesome, as for this half fish business I see it no different then a mermaid going out with a human, plus, in my opinion, if it can walk and talk and do the things a human can do then it is no difference then a human, even if appearance looks different and cultures are very different, that's how I look at it anyway
Anyway great work on this picture, it truly looks amazing and I really like the style you used in this too, the colouring is amazing aswell, so keep it up and I hope all goes well with this comic

I know this is extremely late replying to this since I found this picture but I don't see Ruto as being "half fish" she is a kind of "humanoid aquatic fish hybrid" there's nothing half about her she's basically a fish woman. Zoras are a fish people just like the gorons seem to be some kind of ape-like humanoid. Essentially I look at it as a split evolution of sorts like how the Super Mario Bros movie made highly evolved dinosaurs look almost indestinguishable from humans. Thusly highly evolved apes and fish would look very human-like.
I agree the picture is really sweet and looks like it could make a good animation.

LoZ fanart awwww yeaah! Princess Ruto looks so cute here! I like the way you showed the blush across her cheeks as a purple-y color. I think that given her skintone, that'd be color of her blush.
