I like the older one better, but in this version he looks way more like his TLG version, so... Dunno? both are fine for me now

to kovu and kiara's cubs, he's the cool uncle that always does more than they do: i mean, he defeated an ancient spirit and got a cool scar to show, he married a far away princess from lands they never saw... it's stuff of legends! this is if you believe that the TLG events happened: in my HC, the lion guard is simply the name of kion's playmates, and kion doesn't get the scar (or if he does, he gets it from doing "guard work") during teenagehood, the folks at pride rock receive a request of alliance from the tree of life pride (i hc that the tree of life does indeed exist, but it doesn't have magical properties and is instead simply a place where all wounded animals recover) and kion goes to investigate. here, he meets rani and ends up betrothed to her. for this reason he's always far from pride rock, but both his parents and his sister kiara have accepted that.
