My thought process:
Sova wasn't sure how to find suitable food. But then he saw a mouse run by with a seed. He decided if it's good enough for mice then it's good enough for the spris. So he helped the sunflowers mature and there are now lots of seeds. The mice are quite happy!
i know it's cheesy. And this was just my excuse to draw mice hurhur. I also experimented with coloring with no lines (just a sketch) but I decided to add in some rough lines in the end because I'm still not too good at working lineless.
I like how the bg looks actually! I think I'm improving :>

I actually really like the simplicity of the background, while he's extremely detailed. It draws you in you looking at Sova. c; As for lineless, it takes time. Keep playing with it and you'll eventually get it. Use the darkest shadows and lightest highlights to your dispose when drawing lineless c:

oh my goody goody gum drops!! those mice are SO CUTE! you are improving in so many ways. the anatomy (even in chibi form) is amazing and the placement of the arms looks so natural. the bg is definitely awesome, you are imporving in strides! im so jealous QAQ soon u wont be able to say "awww i fail at bgs" CAUSE U WONT! i love thee mini spris pics you have been doing. they are always are so happy feeling and carefree. It is the emotional equivilent to watching hamtaro (funny comparison i know). But it is not like ur minispris have a big drama or a lot of emotional issues (they WERE just born afterall hurhur), so it is just these cute little things that you make feel like little stories that i wish came with a cute theme song at the end XD
