I have no idea what a blue mage looks like... XD;

You're welcome~!
Well the blue mage was introduced in Final Fantasy V and that class looks a little different
in each game, but your design doesn't look exactly like the blue mage it just looks kinda like it could be one.
Though these days in the newer games none of the classes have special unique clothing.
It actually really looks like a cross between the blue and red mages. Like the two had a baby. XDD
Blue magic in the final fantasy series is actually copying and using enemy magic and skills.

HAHA XD you're right actually. With the same style and then the blue and red colors he does look like he's their baby. XD
That first one and the red mage definitely have a very similar design, both of them and Marcus look like some type of cavalier.

I know right~! XD
Ah, yes a cavalier, he does look like that too.
You should try playing a Final Fantasy game some time.
The older ones that are 8 and 16 bit and some of the PS1 games
are way more fun then the ones they are spewing out now.
Nothing beats turn base games, but todays kids don't feel the same
way as older gamers do. You and I are close to the same age actually,
also Oreo. All three of us are in the same age bracket when games were
actually fun and hard as hell…….Ghost N Goblins for the classic Nintendo.
That game will kick your ass.

Haha. XD yeah it's true, they made some awesome ones back then, and most could be pretty tough. Still I have a hard time going back to 8 or 16 bit games now that I've been spoiled with such realistic graphics.. and as much as I love turn based, I do very much love the more real time action they have in a lot of RPGs now too.

Sheshin In reply to Coraleana [2017-07-18 14:57:40 +0000 UTC]
I guess that's where we are different,
yes, the pretty realistic graphics are nice, but
I really don't care about graphics.
There are so many mistakes and glitches
in the new games and there should be NO
escuses for them. The technology is so
much newer, patches should not be
abused like they are.
Old 8 and 16 bit games are excused because they
were so limited with technology back then,
and that's why I appreciate them so much.
The programers worked with what they had
and made them well, put care into them.
Sure they had little glitches here and there, but
even still the glitches didn't interfere with
the game functioning at all, new games are
badly made they're broken to the point of being
unplayable.

I've always had a thing for realism, in art too. I don't know why. And yeah, there are many mistakes and glitches in games these days, but not in all of them. There's plenty that have only a few or non at all. The only recent game I had a problem with was FF15. There was a glitch in it that made the char freeze and you had to turn off the game, but they fixed that and it's fine now. And you can't deny that new games can look so dang amazing.
I remember older games having bad glitches too though. Plus it's not really fair to put it that way. Yes technology is way more advanced than before, but that also makes it a lot harder! You may be able to do more, but it's also harder to make everything work properly. That's why as an example, The Last of Us took forever to be released. They took their time to make sure it was a good working game. Not everybody wants to do that, and yes then you get glitches and maybe even game breaking ones. But I feel that's because they are too lazy to put in the amount of time and effort that is really needed. New games can be just as awesome as the old ones, they both have their charm, and their weaknesses.

Well that's what I'm talking about when I said the old games were made with care.
Ive not played a new game yet with no glitches, and laziness kills the experience for me.
They rely on patches to much and that is lazy, and I have limited tolerance for that.
Sadly, its all about profit, sis.
I never ran across an old 8 bit game that had such a severe glitch that you couldn't play it to the point it was broken. The glitches just added challenge to it.

Coraleana In reply to Sheshin [2017-07-22 07:53:08 +0000 UTC]
If this is your mindset, you will sadly miss out on a lot of awesome games..
you're being a little unfair though. I mean no matter how thorough you are, there can always be little mistakes in the finished product. I think it's great they can at least patch them up later, in the old days they couldn't. Take art, there is no piece of art out there that is completely perfect. There's always some or more little mistakes in it. So it isn't always laziness. Sometimes it's also out of their hands. Take FF15, they actually had a deadline, they had to release the game at a certain date. So they didn't have the time they'd normally have to make it as good as they could. Especially Square Enix, they always take YEARS to finish their games. X3
And yes it is about profit, which is also why they need to make good working games. No gamer is going to buy a broken one.

Sheshin In reply to Coraleana [2017-07-23 05:30:51 +0000 UTC]
Well I understand that mistakes happen especially if they were not seeable.
And I'm fine with that, that's what the patch system is for after all, but
there are to many companies that just don't care and are lazy.
The one thing is that with the retro games are that they had to
be more careful since there weren't any patches.
There is nothing wrong with extending a deadline, which is what they should do.
We the gamers would be more then willing to wait for a carefully made game with love.
I think my aggression towards poorly made games stems from the terrible Sonic games
that have ruined my for playing Sonic the hedgehog games…with the exception of the
retro 16 bit ones.
I know I shouldn't be so hard on other games because of my anger with SEGA and their
laziness but it's just not easy. They seriously damaged my childhood with the crap that
they've been pulling.

Coraleana In reply to Sheshin [2017-07-23 09:10:55 +0000 UTC]
Yes, some companies are indeed like "oh there are patches so why bother", that does bother me too. Just because you can patch things up doesn't mean you shouldn't try to make a good product.
Of course, but in the FF15 cause it was another company that wanted that deadline, so.. normally square enix changes their deadlines all the time to make sure they make a good product. The last of us did that too, and so have many other good games.
ugh yeah, sonic 06 immediately comes to mind. I've totally lost interest in them. Not necessarily for making bad games but some other bad choices they made. It's sad though when there's something you love so much and they ruin it by being lazy and stupid. :/

Sheshin In reply to Coraleana [2017-07-24 02:29:53 +0000 UTC]
I see, I thought it rather odd that Square Enid would be that way, but if it's another company, well there's nothing they can do about it then.
Ugh, just thinking about '06 makes me quake in terror. XD
The fight with Silver and his launch you into the stratosphere glitch, I will never forget.
It was such a bad glitch it was funny as hell~! XD
Plus, once Sonic started talking, OH MY GOD~! He turned into such a douche~!
I hate the dirtbag personality they gave him.
I still like the old genesis/Megadrive games. Those games kick ass!

Coraleana In reply to Sheshin [2017-07-24 16:08:22 +0000 UTC]
yeah, that's why they're working hard now through patches to fix glitches/bugs and to add more content. Normally they'd just move the release date. I mean look at the re-make of FF7, no clue anymore as to when that will come out. O.o
Haha. XD Oh god yes.. that was bad..
I never liked his personality much either, though he always seemed to be that way in the cartoons as well.
Since you love the old ones so much, are you gonna play Sonic Mania?

Sheshin In reply to Coraleana [2017-07-24 23:41:59 +0000 UTC]
I thought they already released the first part of the FF7 remake?
I heard that they were breaking it up into episodes.
It was really bad. They should have been ashamed to let that game squeeze by
and that was before the immense use of patches...there were patches though,
what I don't understand is why didn't they makes patches to fix that game?
It had potential, it could have been a good game.
I don't know, his personality WAS pretty bad in the SATAM cartoon but, it seemed to get worse
when he started talking in the actual games. Uh, I think it was at it's worst in Sonic Adventure 2.
Although, he was pretty conceited in Sonic Underground....and I'm sure you probably read those
British Sonic the Comic.....holy crap was he rude to his friends. I have a bunch of those over sized
beasts that I bought of the internet.
Sonic Mania? I'd like to but I don't have a Switch or a PS4 so I can't play it when it comes out.

Coraleana In reply to Sheshin [2017-07-25 07:35:05 +0000 UTC]
yeah that's what they said, I don't know if it will still be episodes, they keep saying different stuff and trust me, nothing has been released yet, or I'd be all over it. XD;
I don't know. Some companies seems less concerned with patching things up. And some just don't listen to fans either, SEGA is a good example of that. :/ Take Horizon Zero Dawn, they added in a new game + and it came with some glitches, and they try really hard to patch it all up and listen to the feedback of it.
I don't know he seemed 'okay' in the first few games to me. Just a bit cocky. I do feel he got a lot worse as the years went on.
I don't think I ever saw those comics though, and I never watched underground, since I don't think it was ever on TV here. I did watch an episode on youtube once just to see, but I really couldn't stand the show at all. And of course it's the only one with Knuckles in it!
Oh I didn't know. I have a ps4, and I was really looking forward to it, but there won't be a physical copy so I'm not getting it.

Sheshin In reply to Coraleana [2017-07-31 02:09:05 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I wish they'd make up their minds.
And thats a darn shame at their companies that think that way.
And characters with cocky behaviors get on my nerves. I have limited patience for them.
Yeah, Knuckles was in Underground, but his appearance was minor.
Well you never know there might might be a physical copy, if they aren't sell enough digital copies.
There are a lot of people who don't like digital download, they want to actually own it.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Coraleana In reply to Sheshin [2017-07-31 17:42:40 +0000 UTC]
Well cocky behavior is a behavior so there will always be anime/game characters that will act that way. There's plenty of behaviors/personalities I hate/dislike, but that's fine. I mean you can't like every single person/character, there will always be ones you can't relate to or can't interact with. X3
Doesn't look that way, but we'll see.

XDD He's not though.
Besides, it's not a tricorn, it's a cavalier hat to be exact. Tricorns have both sides up and the cavalier hat only one side. And I think tricorns are more associated with pirates than french people, at least that's my first thought when I see one. X3
