I've kinda felt like making this..Related content

*The mother deathclaw was dead, half of her body having been crushed from the metal* *Many of the eggs were smashed while others were cracked* *A good number of them were still intact* *Though the eggs did not seem like they will be hatching due to being exposed*

Looking upon the now crushed and defunct eggs, I sigh looking down at the lone surviving egg with uncertainty. "What should I do.." I mutter, unsure if the creature would still regain it's ferocious traits from its deceased mother.

*Miki lightly nudged the egg with her nose* *There was a soft cracking noise as the shell began to break, however, when the egg opened, a small creature stumbled out from the shell and seemed to fall to the floor* *It made a weak squeak as it tried to get up*

I gasp and back at as I quickly take out my revolver and take aim. WIth shaky arms, I aim down ready to fire if it was ready to attack.

*The little deathclaw struggled to get up, its back legs seeming to be rather weak* *It saw you aiming at it and hissed, a sign of being stressed by the situation*

"okay okay, point taken." stutter raising the gun slightly away from it.

*It then took off, stumbling about the floor as it seemed to be having trouble walking*

I watch it with cautious eyes, still unsure what it will do next and whether it was still as fierce as it's mother.

*It growled and pounced at you, seeming to want you to leave it alone* *The jump was clumsy and did not cause much of an impact*

I look down at it withΒ a confused look seeing how, despite it's lineage, was still rather unadapt to hunting. "Easy fella." I say as it nearly fell to the floor.

*At a closer look, it was easy to see the deathclaw hatchling's hind legs were both turned too far inward, incating why it could not seem to walk properly*

"huh...must've been some sort of defect." I mutter as I examine the legs a bit closer.

*He made a low and soft growling whimper as you did so*

"Wait...you can understand me?" I ask, dumbfounded by the reaction I got.

*It hissed and pounced at you again a bit clumsily*

I watch with confused eyes. "Easy little guy, don't want you getting seriously hurt from pouncing."

*The hatchling seemed to have the traits as its mother but was not strong enough to really harm you*

I look down and soon rise up. "well...seems like it can't do much at this size." I sigh before turning about to continue on my way.

*Miki was watching the hatchling curiously as it fell down and seemed to lay for a while, clearly out of energy*

"hey, come on Miki." I call out to the canine. "the little fella should be fine...considering there's nothing on her...or I hope."

*Miki looked up at you before looking at the hatchling and then following behind you*

"Don't worry...it should be fine." I assure my canine companion as I try to make my way past the debris lining the ship floors.

"Great...judging by the looks of this thing most of, if not, all the food might already be bad." I grumble while still traversing the inner hull.

*Miki obediently followed behind you before she stopped and began scratching at something on the floor*

"Huh?" I turn to look at Miki with confused eyes. "What is it girl?" I ask while approaching her.

"Well...this looks like quite the reward." I smile as I kneel down to lift up the bag. "Wonder what we could get with this?"

"Errr, just follow me." I say petting her head as I make my way out.

It didn't take long for me and the canine to make our way towards the halls as I look about. "Huh...where'd that Deathclaw go?"

I raise a brow as I make my way towards the sound to check what was causing it.

*It was the hatchling, seeming to be trying to get out of the room*

"trying to get out?" I ask as I opened the metallic door leading the way out.

*The hatchling stared up at you, his back arching a bit*

"Hey cool it." I scowl as I make my way past him. "Keep acting like that and you'll end up deadmeat."

I watch in surprise as it scrambles outside before shaking my head lightly. "You're welcome."

"Come on Miki." he urges as he walks out into the sunset riddled wasteland. "Let's try and head back to town."
