Background

A man by the name of John Hector Verrill who once lived in a dimention parallel to our own, he was a professor who taught English classes at the undergraduate level. He met the love of his life, and was nearing the beginning of a new life with her, but it all took an unexpected turn when the differences of our universes began to show: the UN of his reality had a plan to create superpowered soldiers, and they took unexpected candidates in at unexpected times. All for the sake of peace, right?

Such experimenation would have killed a normal man, and John was very normal. As the mutation was inching to deathly levels, a voice echoed in his mind. Was it salvation? No, mockery was what welcomed him in his last moments of life. That, and the soft glow of two white lights, glimmering in glee at the otherwise dark space that surrounded him. He closed his eyes, and welcomed his fate...

...and was reborn anew, as...a dog? Person?

"What a pickle ya got yaself in, chickadoo! Too bad my kindness only goes so far as saving one life!"

And, what did this mean? Well, whatever it did, in included the smell of burning, the taste of ash in the air, and watching the world around fade away into flame. And that is enough to burn scars and hatred into the soul.

It took many years to find out the intricacies of this situation. His hatred for his now-bestfriend later found a true target: the man's employer. The guilt that Obsel constantly shows and hides is a constant reminder that Wulph is not the only victim of this megalomaniac.

And may the Omnis hear him now: he will make Yenom pay.

Abilities

As a dingo anthropomorph, he has a stronger sense of smell, hearing and taste.
He is farsighted. He can see things that are very far away, but needs glasses to read books. He also needs a special pair to see a greater spectrum of colour.
His claws are sharp, but retractable. His jaw is also strong, so avoid getting bitten by this guy, if you can.
He knows supportive magic. He can't do anything fancy, but he can heal physical and mental wounds efficiently. He can also give himself and others buffs in battle, like increased strength and speed.

Fighting Style

A close-ranged fighting style for this fast-paced dog. He'll try to get close and personal with his enemy, boosting his speed and strength to make as much damage as possible when close.

If he can't get close, however, he won't try to close the gap. In fact, he will try to use the surroundings to tire his opponent, or set up traps with falling debris or other items he can find. There wouldn't be anything too elaborate, however. Just enough to have an effect.

Finally, whenever he's with Obsel, he's normally the distraction or generally the frontal hitter. He'll charge into people, doing as much damage as he can while Obsel prepares for a bigger hit. If he stays back, it's most likely to power Obsel up further, or because Obsel has a plan.

Essentially, he uses his head a lot, but can run the risk of being predictable if you've seen him fight a few times or know his type.

Strengths and Weaknesses

+ Fast and calculating in battle. All the years of helping Obsel in "missions" has given him a lot of experience.

+ Good at cooperating with others for a common goal. He's a good listener, so that helps.

+ Not quick to anger, and may seem detached at times from what others are doing if it means a better chance of reaching the goal.

+ For his stature, he can take some heavy hits without really being pushed back. It's not the most impressive thing, but he's more defensively capable than Obsel.

- Can dissociate when faced with mirrors or other identity-related things.

- Though not quick to full-on anger, when he IS angry, he loses all sorts of control. Only Obsel can really calm him down.

- His scarf acts a bit like a security blanket, as it reminds him of who he is. Take it, and he'll lose it.

- Can repeat the same pattern of movements without paying attention. He's trying to finish things quickly, so that may be an oversight.

FUN FACT!

He LOVES poultry! All sorts of birds, all parts of the bird. This has only increased SIGNIFICANTLY as a dog man. This dignified professor loves chicken mcnuggets. If you get him duck, he will low key appreciate you a lot. And I mean A LOT.
