Description
So I was basically thinking of the points just before Robin decided on going solo and placing the blue and black tights on to become the Skull bashing, bullet dodging nocturnal "NightWing" we know him as today. So my thought of Dick Grayson before that change is as a high-school prep student that is extremely intelligent but sarcastic, rebellious, hot tempered and non-caring when it comes to the interaction with others. As robin he seems to be more serious, fearless and mentally darker than his past care-free self. I thought that maybe he had something to do with the design of the outfit as well. Giving it a more of a muted, modern and bad ass look to fit his attitude. To me Robin may have had his disagreements with the Bats which probably ultimately resulted in him leaving to do his own thing but I think he'll become just another Bat in a bird costume. What's your thought of Mr.Grayson fellow Dev?Tools>

This is great- I know it's bad of me, but I can't stand the bright green, red and yellow costume of his early years- this one really suits the darker tone of Batman, good job!^^

Well, first off my thoughts are "Oh my god, this picture is awesome." Secondly, I have to agree with you on the evolution of his image. His original costume, even when revamped for modern remakes of the show is far from bad ass. THIS look, however, is definitely bad ass. And it's true. We all know that, even though Robin's gone solo, when it comes down to it, the apple never falls far from the tree - or in this case, the bat never flies far from the cave.

Gorgeous, I think this is just about appropriate. His 'Robin' looks a lot more like Nightwing in nature, as it should, and still works as a superhero sidekick as well.

I kind of miss the spunky and bright green and yellow, though. Robin's costume is, I thought, supposed to contrast with Batman's, but this one just sort of blends in. I like the design, though! Maybe, instead of removing all of the green and yellow, you could have just diminished it? I don't know. XD

Just looking at this again, it's fantastic. This is the first of your work I ever saw as I can remember. I love the badass look to Richard Grayson here; the name Dick is a little outdated... Or made fun of by tween/teenage guys that have nothing else to babble on about

that's an awesome robin design. i like how you took out the yellow. taking the R out is really cool too. a bold move i'd say.
not sure about that dick grayson though. i've always seen dick as a straight and narrow guy; this grayson looks like a pot-smoker. haha.

This is an interesting piece I love your thought behind it. This part of Dick Grayson's career is the hardest to show but I think you've nailed it because you've explained it so well. Plus the pictures are just soooo damn good. Keep it up!

I love your take on Dick here. Its totally a prelude to his next life as Nightwing.
I also like that he's wearing the black and blue in his casual wear, -future colors to Nightwing- then black and red to reflect his "robin".
Although dick doesn't wants to be come, he will ultimately in the end be Bat-man. When Bruce is gone or such, Dick might not take on that title or anything. But he'll fight for the same Ideas of justice that Bruce has instilled in him though out most his life.
