The Straticactus and Viditfae have a not so good relationship

For starters, the mosquito like Viditfae need to parasitize on the Straticactus softer and moist inner tissues to be able to let their semiaquatic larvae survive, as such a single straticactus could have multiple Viditfae larvae eating on its tissues and parasitizing on it

For the oldest Straticactus, which can become hundreds of years old, having these tiny hitchhickers isnt a big issue, either way once they grow the Viditfae become flighted mosquito like animals that drink blood to create more eggs during the breeding season, however otherwise Viditfae are just generalist liquivores, just drinking nectar or tree sap, the sap generally also coming from Straticactus as these small insectoids cant leave the Bonecacti alone : p
