Description
The Whistling trees and their Cricketwasps are related to the old Chirping trees, they are within the same species however, this subspecies has adapted to living deep within the jungle of Occidentis
Their large bird sized Cricketwasp symbiotes live within and protect their home tree from parasites, herbivores and even other plants, and have even had a hand in introducing a third symbiote into the dynamic
the Sanguine Glow-creeper, a previous parasite of the trees, now aids them by giving the wasps a persistent food source as well as giving its poisonous compounds to the wasps, making these species of Cricketwasp have a "Toxic Spit" which greatly helps at diverting potential dangers to their home
The Whistling tree is an enigmatic and very important part of the Occidentian Jungle, and its simbiosis forms the basis for an entire microbiome within its own tissues.
