Description I did this about three years ago. I had the idea of a fairy sitting on a bubble while looking at a beta fighting fish in a petshop...then it occured to me...why a bubble? Why not a globule of water? With a fish inside.... it only occured to me later ...how was the fairy sitting on a globe of water? (shrug, what do I care? She's a mystical being of whimsy. )

It's all about surface tension. Obviously a being with her weight and magic would not break the surface tension on the water globe. Gorgeous colors and shapes...this is a lovely work.

True..and don't forget fish slime. Helps increase water viscosity and lowers liquid shear stress. Or so the fish thinks.

None that we need to give. Though the rhyme or reason can be deeply buried and mostly subconscious. Sort of like my craving dark chocolate. One moment I'm thinking of frame measurements and mattboard colours and suddenly I crave chocolate. Unfathomable.
