"Since I joined Mermay (where you create artworks featuring mermaids through the whole May), I wanted to continue exploring this idea. I enjoy painting animals and even many years ago I loved to include jellyfishes, whales etc. in my works, so for a while I wanted to use some elements of my older works as an inspiration for newer paintings, so that I could create something new with my current more surrealistic style."
