Metamorphosis.Only just started reading this book, but the play (where Ralph has a hilariously obvious Singapore accent while everyone else managed to pull off British or half-British accents, and everybody was Asian) scared the crap out of me. Especially the part where Simon died. Poor Simon.
Since in the play everyone had black hair, I didn't know what hair colours they had. So when I read the book and realized that Jack had red hair, I was pretty surprised because I never pictured him as a redhead. And the thought amuses me. So I had to draw him. It took a lot longer than I expected - there goes my national day.
(But hey, he can sing C sharp!)

Nope, it's a quote from the book. He was just boasting about how he's the best singer in the choir he is part of, and he can sing in the key of C#.
