yay, more submissions! really cool perspective on this one. the bars framing the shot make a good reference point. it might have worked better if the pipe was centered between them, though. another awesome shot!

Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes I go for symetrical (spelling?) framing but for this one I went for the classic rules they teach you at school (divide the picture into thirds horizontally and vertically and put a diagonal line crossing two thirds to draw the eye into the picture). That's the theory. Usually theory goes out the window. '8) Like "you should never make square pictures" and I just love doing square pictures when I'm using the 6 x 6 medium format.

hmm, I was never taught that rule about the diagnol line, only the thirds horizontally and vertically. stupid photography classes, not teaching me right .

ignore rules, it's about what YOU like.
the diagonal line thing is nice though, when you get it right it does lead your eye in, in a perfect world you then have something at the end to look at.
