Still pretty believable due to the Lazarus pit having a profound affect on anyone who is stupid enough to use it. Even more profound on people with an already warped view of the world to begin with. She had some serious daddy issues and a questionable understanding of morality and healthy relationships. Even when she first met Bruce, she had no problem following him when it suited her needs only to always choose her father's side in the end. Though, retcons are nothing new. The explanation for most of them are almost always the Flash, Green Lantern, or Superman screwing with time travel.

The whole watching his mother kill all his teachers and forcing him to keep their decapitated heads in his backpack as a reminder of what could happen to him if he ever disappointed her and having his own father and stepbrothers constantly viewing him with suspicion and disrespect(Yet treating him like a freak for regarding them the same way!) until the day he dies at the hands of a clone created by his own mother to replace him and his father going through the intergalactic equivalent of Hell to ressurrect him probably didn`t help matters,either.
