Entry #2.

So far everyone, I have had an excellent time deciding, sketching and creating these illustrations for not only this contest, but for the games fan art as well. This in particular piece I decided that I wanted to do something I have not done yet... Which has now become my favorite illustration for Gears of War I have done yet

Inspired by the gameplay of GoW3, I decided to take a more simplistic approach to my second entry. I knew I wanted to do another Marcus piece, and this one would have him in just black and white. The splatter effect I did, along with the hidden #3 came after... after I had already painted up a background for this piece and then tossed it lol. Happens I guess : / Gave me more practice on the positive side.

Tried doing this piece without the blue glow to his armor and gun, however I rather like it, so I kept it haha.

I believe I will try to get around to doing a 3rd entry to this contest, but as we all know these things take a lot of time. Regardless to weather or not I get to another GoW3 piece, I'd like to thank the Gears of War team for coming up with this contest and DA for hosting it.

Again, another piece that required some sleep deprivation and RedBull action
