I'm already missing Endeavour. She was the first space shuttle I saw blast off from the Pad.

Remember back when Atlantis was having all those problems? I was at one of the attempts to get her into space. We got to T-3:00 when they aborted the launch...

My first launch viewing (Endeavour) was aborted 5 times (days) in a row. I was going to go bonkers.

Well, my family was in the area on vacation, so we didn't get to stick around to see them actually get her into orbit (a few months later, IIRC)...

Yea, takes at least a couple days. Right now they are waiting on the weather to fly out. Storms near the Gulf I think.

Wow! Well, Endeavour has been through a lot, and now that's going to be on retirement, it doesn't need to suffer any more.
