Blud Spigot is a character I've created for 's character creation contest. If you haven't seen Rob's Rat Rage characters, I suggest you check them out, as they are very colorful and dynamic. You may notice a couple small differences from picture to picture, here. This design evolved as I went along and I will most likely make a few tweaks, later.

EDIT: I've since decided not to tweak this picture. My style has changed so much in the several months since I've done this, that I wouldn't know where to stop.

Background: Blud is from the Spigot tribe, which lives in a more mountainous region of Clauvia. Known as a small, secretive society, it's members are well educated in history and politics, but remain outsiders. The most athletic members enter the Nachtschatten sect of Spigot and are trained in a variety of martial art, assassination and espionage skills. After years of grueling mental and physical preparation, they are hired out as bodyguards, spies, assassins or any other kind of mercenary endeavor. While the Nachtschatten are the most powerful members of the Spigot Tribe, they unquestionably obey commands from the other sects.

A Spigot Nachtschatten will calmly accept death, if the mission requires it. When on a mission, all ties of friendship or family are irrelevant. On rare occasions, Nachtschatten may have to face other members of their sect, who have been hired by opposing forces. They will fight to the death if necessary.

Blud has been the model Nachtschatten for most of his life. Now, in his early 30's, he has survived longer than most of the comrades he trained with and has, on 2 occasions, had violent altercations with some of them to complete his missions. Blud finds himself on an extended spy mission in the city of Ratopolis. During his observations, he sees how some of the bodyguards and mercenaries operating in the city show a great deal of loyalty and concern for each other, sometimes considering their colleagues more important than their work. He begins to wonder if the path he has walked is the only possible path.

Being an albino rabbit, Blud is a bit light sensitive and carries out his work at night when possible. He can use a special pair of goggles to assist him in brighter light. Blud has the ability to jump quickly and far in any direction, appearing almost super-rodent. His main weapon is a straight sword, ideal for thrusting, stabbing motions. Part of the blade is concealed in the handle, and it can extend several inches depending on the situation. Blud's secondary weapon is a gigantic throwing star which seems to change direction in mid-flight and even return to his hand. Wether these feats are accomplished through great skill, technology, mystical means or some combination of is unclear.
He also carries a pack containing various small weapons, tools, smoke bombs, grappling hooks and the like.
